Merci anyways! - "Brobygger mellom øl og gløgg" - albeit a heavily spiced gløgg: massive cardamom in aroma, oddly overpowering and lushly contoured by clove and cinnamon. Reminds me of mace-laced (maced?) German Spekulatius as opposed to cassonade-forward Belgian speculoos. Matured nicely into a drinkable 6,5% warmer with a silky UK malt mouthfeel. Spices remain aromatic as in a tajine served in a Norwegian sauna where someone is trying to enjoy his Fuller’s Winter ale. Well done, but these spices are not really my thing. - - Instead of Norwegian Xmas cookies or cream–cheese smeared spekuloos, pairs also well with: Min Kamp 3, the disappointing New Year’s firework scenes.

From bottle. Pours cloudy brown with a frothy cream head. Nose of sour cherries, ginger, cloves, toast, super spicy. Taste is treacle, cinnamon, more cloves, roasted malts.

bottle @ home, aged five years in the cellar and still nice. Large frothy head. Spicy glüh-like taste and aroma with cardamon, ginger, herbs, caramel, licorice slight chocolate.

Bottle from Saveur-Biere.com - Color: deep dark brown beer with no carbonation and small brown head. Smell: spicy domination with roasted malt balance. Nose with cardamon, and some Fernet notes. Very intensive. Taste: medium body with good roasted malt backbone, taste as a Fernet with huge spicy explosion, mint notes. Definitely not my style. Too much as a Fernet. Aftertaste: spicy and mint. Caramel hint.

Luke 23 adventskalender 2016. Flaske fra Vinmonopolet Jekta. Aroma nellik, gløgg, krydder. Utseende mørk brun med beige skum. Smak gløgg, humle, krydder, litt alkoholsmak. Bitterhet i ettersmaken. En veldig god øl med mye julestemning.

Very different beer and peculiar. Nose is rich in herbs and notes of wine and glögg. Colour dark brown with red notes. Taste is also more wine and herbs than classic beer. Palate is dry and with some hoppiness. Really enjoyable but different.

Aroma of Christmas herbs and roasty chocolate malt. Brown hazy appearance. Medium-high sweetness and light-medium bitterness. Soft carbonation. Better than expected.

Copenhagen 14/12 2016. 50 cl bottle from Meny. Purple "Ø" with a couple of snowflakes to underline that this is a Christmas Seasonal. Can read on the back that this is a date between Beer and Gløgg which sounds pretty ominous. Pours murky brown with small yellow head. Aroma is heavy sweet and reminds me of Gløgg. Raisins, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and sweet wine. Soft carbonation and slightly thick palate. Flavor is heavy sweet and sugary with a light spicy bitterness. Aftertaste is spicy and kind of weird. Too much Gløgg and too little beer for me. But it is certaoinly "Peculiar".

Trash water brown.
Aroma of pors, mint, caramel and celantro.
Thin, clove, fizzy, bitter. Not so nice.
