Bottle pour into tulip glass from Redstone Liquors. Appearance is virtually opaque black (dark brown with light source directly behind), light sparkle at the edge of the glass, ephemeral cap of light brown head and trace lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt, toffee, dark fruit, vanilla. Taste is roasted malt, molasses, mild dark fruit, vanilla. Palate is light bodied with thin, silky smooth texture, soft carbonation and bittersweet, dry finish. Overall, strong flavor and aroma while maintaining a nice balance between sweet and bitter. Pours black with a huge foamy head. Lots of roasted malts and chocolate in the aroma. Flavour is very much the same, a total delight of a porter.
