Nice creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet, grass, caramel malts, sap, sugar, spices, pumpkin, toffee, chocolate. Taste is slightly harsh grassy, caramel malts, grass, spices, sap, harsh hops, pumpkin. Medium bitterness, slightly harsh mouthfeel. Fair enough, the first batch a few years ago was a little better than this one.
500 ml bottle, brewed in 2013. Brownish amber wit off white head. Aroma of spice, vegetables and roasted notes. Taste is similar, vegetables, spice, roasted and harsh notes. Not too much pumpkin, nice ClubGonzo (5685) - Bergen, NORWAY - NOV 4, 2011
On tap @ Patrick’s, Kristiansand, only moments before the keg was empty and a lot of people’s smiles faded... :-S Also, it’s my first pumpkin ale AND my first beer at Patrick’s. Weeee! :-D Pours a hazy dark bronze body with a small white head. Nose is caramel, pumpkin, hints of white pepper and wet leaves. Taste is strong peppery herbal notes balanced by deep malty caramel tones, burnt toast and hints of pumpkin hidden way in the back. Not much of it really, but this is still a good beer. Full body and a high carb level which serves well to provide a fresh mouthfeel in what is otherwise a rather sweet beer. A perfect autumn ale; solid stuff from NØ. Too bad the mash was "super stuck", otherwise more people would be enjoying this around the world... MarcoDL (5377) - NETHERLANDS - FEB 21, 2015
Bottle @ beer temple. Aroma is herbal and foresty. Taste is spicey, with a subtle touch of pumpkin and cinnamon. Mild spicey finish. Elegant, but could be more outspoken. OleR (4849) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 9, 2011
From keg @Schouskjelleren, Oslo. An opaque brown beer, with a thin sand-colored cream head. Nice smell of sweet-scented toasted malts, rounded spices and herbs, and some fine grassy/earthy hops. Taste is on the sweet side, but it’s a refined and rounded sweetness. The pumkin addition is not overdone, shines trough with a soft herbal and light spicy character. Silky mouthfeel. More than medium full. Spices and a light bitterness linger in the finish. Nice!

Tap at Håndverkerstuene, fall 2011. Cloudy brown body, big offwhite head. Sweet aroma, caramel, fruit, berries, herbs. Taste of caramel, spice, a mild sourness and hops. Good balance. Thick body, aftertaste of dark bitter chocolate. Vighals (4439) - Sørumsand, NORWAY - OCT 9, 2015
Mørk brun klar med høyt beige skum. Lukter brent karamell, kaffe og mørke frukter. Finner ikke gresskarlukten, men hvordan lukter gresskar da? Middels fylde. Noe salt smak. Kaffe og lett fruktighet. Saltbitter avsluttning.
