On tap at Cardinal. Hazy chestnut body with a fingerthick, cappuccino colored head leaving excellent lacing. Toffee, caramel and butterscotch on the nose. Inviting. Sweet caramel, alcoholic, bitter, acidic. Well balanced. Full body, smooth. Abrupt finish with bitter tones lingering and a dry tongue. Good stuff. bergstaden (2977) - Røros, NORWAY - DEC 8, 2015

Pours a very deep copper body with an eggnog head that sticks around for quite some time and leaves lots of lacing on my glass. Malty and strong aroma of sweet caramel, dark caramel, grains and lots of fruits. Strong flavour of dark caramel, roasted malt and dark fruits (I guess this is the pumpkin), with a background of chocolate, dark dried fruits, ash and alcohol. Light to moderate sweet taste with a moderate to light bitter finish. Medium body, smooth texture and moderate carbonation. A nice and complex beer.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy reddish brown colour with a small beige head. Aroma of dried fruit, coffee, oak, nuts, pine and grassy hops. The flavour is similar with oak, nuts, cocoa and pine. Has a slick mouth feel, medium body and balanced bitterness. I don’t find the pumpkin in this beer, but is anyhow filled with hops and malt. Well-balanced.
