We brewed this ale with the famous sake yeast No 7 from Masumi Sake in Nagano, Japan. On advise from Masumi’s master brewers, we fermented this ale very slowly at low temperatures to bring out No 7’s fabulously fruity character. This product is unfiltered and unpasteurized. Please enjoy chilled! Special thanks to Masumi!

GlasgowTAD (1874) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - FEB 28, 2015
Pours a deep ruby red with a pinkishly brown head which does not last long. Aroma is toffee, caramel, lychee and slight cherry drops. Taste is caramel, toffee, buttescotch, slight cherry and malty sweetness. Long and dry slightly raisiny finish.

martjoobolut (4857) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - FEB 24, 2015
0,25L bottle (from bierkompass.de). Pours red amber with beige head. The head doesn’t stay. Aroma is sweet, caramel, malt, fruits, some alcohol, some sake notes. Flavor is very sweet, malt, caramel, fruits. Overall: great brew.

Martinus (4686) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - FEB 21, 2015
Clear red brown colour, diminishing white head. Malty aroma, red fruits, caramel, honey, light lapsang souchong. Sweet malty flavour, honey, red fruits. Sweet malty finish, reminding of tea.
(from 25cL bottle @ ZZT XI, Oirschot. Bedankt voor het delen, Joris!)

suurjuust (3612) - ESTONIA - FEB 21, 2015
Clear brown beer, almost no head. Dense malty nose, caramel, fruit hints. Malty flavor, alcohol warmth, bready notes, more caramel, coconut. Finishes dry with sake-sweetness and wood. The dryness lingers. Interesting stuff. Shared by martjoobolut, thanks!

Rather dark brown appearance, with practically no head. It tastes and smells sake, caramel and sweet fruits and raisins.

A bit let down by this, though I mostly bought it because of the packaging. Smell is sake-y, sweet and slightly fruity. No head, slightly Murky. Taste is pretty sweet, covering too much of the qualities. Not really bitter but kinda adstringent in the end.

DwarfeD (3540) - Amersfoort, NETHERLANDS - FEB 7, 2015
25cl bottle at home. Hazy brown with almost no head. Full complex body with low carbonation. Pretty sweet with some bitter tones. Caramel, malts, floral tones, yeast, dark fruits, warming alcohol, spices and herbs. Great full flavoured brew!

Bardzo ładny, słodki aromat kandyzowanych owoców, syropu owocowego, lekko winny. Piany praktycznie brak, barwa bursztynowa, przejrzyste. Warka do 20.12.2016r.

StilleStorm (1558) - Stavanger, NORWAY - DEC 31, 2014
DAA; Bottle 0, 25L. Batch #741. Brewed 12.20.2011. Opened celebrating New Year’s Eve comming up, and my 900 rating. Excellent packaging, as shown on picture, with bottle wrapped in red tissue paper. Pours small, hazy bronze with a short lived off-white head. Aroma is intense, malt, caramel, overripe fruit, plums, sugar, wood and yeast with noticeable alkohol. Taste follows nose, heavy sweet with a citric and spice touch, warming and sweet plums lasting. Body is full, texture is sticky, carbonation is flat. I like my sweets. Happy New Year!
