Bravo for the experiment but I’m not convinced the style lends itself to this treatment. Which is not to say this doesn’t point in interesting directions. The lavish head shows good length. Impenetrable body of the darkest brown. Interesting aroma of leather, acetone, sour cherries, horse blanket - one for the true connoisseurs of sour ales, amongst whom I cannot count myself. Thin bodied and dry. Acidic. The best I can say about this is that it tastes exactly like you might imagine a sour brown ale would taste - like an accountant breaking bad, but not bad enough to pay much attention. (250ml bottle from Leura Cellars)
Bottle, kindly given to me by Rune and Finn. Dark, ruddy, brown in colour, opaque with a billowy, off-white, head. Brown sugar and sour berry fruit aroma, with a hint of aged oak. Fairly light in the mouth, with less sourness than expected, some fruitiness and a tart finish. Good drinking. madmitch76 (24431) - , Essex, ENGLAND - SEP 14, 2016

Opaque dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is airy, dry and has reasonable carbonation. Modestly sour dried fruits, touch of Flemish Red sourness. Light finish. Fine.
Rating #1852 - 2015.08.10 - Bottle from CBI - Hazy reddish brown pour, medium white head. Aroma is super bretty, lots of yeast on the nose - oak barrel evident, vanilla, sour peach, wildflowers, honey, soapyness. Mouthfeel is clean, medium carbonation. Quite complex, the sourness is tempered with a fair amount of body, and lots of tart fruity esteric notes. Nice sour/bruin. ngeaney (97) - SWEDEN - SEP 1, 2015
Aroma is musty with vinegar and apple cider dominating and very sour with oak coming through in the background. Tarty, fruity with some fruitiness like from raisins and cherries but mainly a farmhouse wild yeast aroma.
Flavours are very sour in the beginning and lead on to some brown ale tones of slight bitter chocolate and coffee with a bitter dry finish. VsXsV (4420) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 29, 2015
Bottle. Hazy deep brown liquid with small to medium light tan head. Aroma of red onion, lemon, wood, light cream and apple. Taste is dry and medium sour with notes of lemon, apple and wood. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Pretty good.

Pours murky brown, nearly black with a huge off-white head. Smell has freaky sour notes with some nice dark malt notes. Starts refreshing sourish, well paired with roasted malts and some coffee. Middle part is absoluteley dominated by the acidity, which pairs perfect to the rest of the aromas, which are roasty, malty and slight chocolatey. Goes into a mild sourish finish with lovely roasted and chocolate malts.
Looks..Murky brown cola colour, med head
Smells... Vinegar, lemon citrus, green capsicum/fresh green ’no heat’ chilli, smokey roasted malts
Tastes.. Smoke and roast, vinegar, lemon citrus, nuts, woody oak barrels.
