COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sweet Horizon is dessert for the ones with a sweet tooth. Black and velvety, with hints of sweet chocolate, fruit, coffee, licorice......... Hmmmm! But remember, this is dessert, so do not try to have dessert with it!

Bottled in 2008, so well aged. Has been in fridge most of the time since I got it. Alcohol and artificial pear/pistachio in the aroma on first smell, then coffee and something leathery-ish... Then bright, fruity. Notes of milk chocolate. Huh. Very sweet taste, with acidic notes. Very low carbonation. Flavor notes of raisin, coffee, licorice. Thick mouthfeel. Velvety smooth. Coates the mouth. The flavor keeps on giving, changing. Sometimes fruity, sometimes earthy/woody-ish. Roasty coffee-y finish. A whole lot going on here, and it’s hard to describe everything. Heavy stuff! Indeed a dessert in itself.

250 ml bottle. #372. Bottled on 30/06/2008. From Alko some years ago. Black colour with some red notes and no head. Roasted malt, berries, alcohol and some coffee in the aroma. The flavour is sugary sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, alcohol vinous elements and some liquorice. The coffee is very subdued. Alcohol warms a lot. A bit too sweet for me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Holy fuck, thanks to adnielsen for this drain pour. 8.5oz bottle. This beer has at least 5 cups of sugar in it. Undrinkable cloying sweet dumpster juice. Would rather drink my own urine than this.

Bottle. Black with no head. More akin to a dessert wine than anything else. All the familiar stout trappings with some over the top fruity sweetness that should be cloying but works within the overall package. Awesome.

Sweet and delicious. Something different and finally in a good way. Has imp stout notes but slightly amplified. heavy cloy sweetness on top of that and for some reason this works really well for me.

Bottle brewed 30/06/2008, so it’s over 6 years old bottle. Black color, some brown bubbles. Aroma is sweet, licorice, some cognac notes. Sweet taste is mix of cognac and stout flavors, long sweet finish.

"black w/ little/no head. diabetes in a bottle, but they somehow pulled it off. coffee added, but you could barely tell in the aroma and couldn’t taste it because the beer was SO strong and so sweet. char, licorice, super sweet malts, alcohol, lots of dark fruit and roastiness. deifintely a sipper. split a 8.5? oz bottle. a pint would kill, so drinkability is low, but as advertised...a nice dessert beer. too expensive to go back for, though."

.25 liter bottle, from JulienHuxley if I remember correctly. Pours a near black color with no head. Aroma of caramel, roast, vegetal and green notes, coffee. The taste is coffee, sweet malts, roasted malts, cherries, vanilla, booze, tootise rolls. Medium-full bodied, no carbonation, mildly hot. Pretty sweet but enough bitterness to balance.
