Bottled. A pitch black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of malt, chocolate, and cherries. The flavor is very sweet with notes of cherries, fruit, roasted malt, and chocolate, leading to a dry roasted finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Pours very dark brown, bright beige multicolored head. Aroma of coffee and Hershey bar. Taste is sugar-coated dates and malted milk balls. I had low expectaions for this one, but it was actually OK.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Thick black, no head. Sugary aroma. Oily and thick, a bit of coffee and roastiness, mostly brown sugar and some bready syrup. Sweetness numbs my tastebuds and just makes wonder how they got all this sugar dissolved into liquid. More a chemical experiment than a beer.

Opaque black beer. Good light brown head, short lived. Milky coffee nose. Very sweet coffee, sugary sweet. Very slight tang. Warmth from the alcohol. Mild minerals. Whisper of hop in the finish. Achieves it’s aim of being a dessert beer but could use some more complexity. 3.5

Level 42 bottleshare, Santa is flying past below! Thanks to Dan for the opportunity to try this again 6.5 years later. Clear deep amber - brown beer, no head. Palate is smooth with modest fine carbonation. Sweet malts - well duh! Mild roast, very mild. Very nice Sherry and Port Wine tones. Ripe prune and dark fruits. Smooth spicy finish. Has aged very well indeed.
