Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden amber beer with a minimal amount of quickly disappearing white head on top. Aroma is very malty and sugary, wheaty notes, bready touches and a vague hint of banana in there, like a strong weizen. Flavor is sweet and rather boozy, strong alcoholic presence in the beer, loads of malts in there, sugary notes, white fruits and again a hint of banana. Soft and sticky moutfheel, almost no carbonation present. Still nice though, yet strong. minutemat (6456) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JAN 16, 2017
500ml bottle from Oslo Airport duty free. Drunk at home. Pours a misty gold, white head. Aroma has some nice sweet tripel yeast notes. Taste is creamy with soft a tripel sweetness and very subtle peat notes. Quite balanced and doesn’t taste 9% in the slightest. Bit too creamy for my tastes though. Excellent tripple with an marzipan like aroma, delicate offwhite head which is rather short lived as you would expect with this alcohol content. Very good mouth feel. I like the alcohol on the nose, as well as the sweet after taste even though I know it might not be everybody’s cup of tea. Carbonation is probably in the lower end of the range for the style which again suits me. PhillyCraft (8425) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 11, 2016
BB backlog, Bottle in 2011 with PAt. Pours a hazy yellow color with medium sized white head. Tiny bubbles and nice lacing. Smell is apples, banana, belgian yeast, hops, and sweet malt. Flavor most of the same with some toasty malt, and dark fruits Carbonation was medium and so was the body. BillWyce (1134) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 14, 2016
2016 Philly Beer Week draft @ Khyber Pass. Pours slightly hazy golden color, maybe a touch of orange. Small, thin off-white head that was gone quickly. Grassy and citrusy aroma, maybe some stone fruit too. Full body, lightly syrupy, with a touch of astringency to the finish. Flavors of peach and citrus with a bit of an earthy note. Tallahassee, Fl - Beer Stop - 650 ml bottle. Thick, muddled medium orange pour with a thick snow white head, decent lacing. Aroma has some tangy lemon accents, a touch of yeast and some bubble gum. Full-bodied flavor with some candii sugar sweetness, some bubble gum, a dollop of yeast, just a hint of lemon tartness and some cake mix sweetness in the back end. Mouthfeel has a pleasantly thick essence to it. Good night cap after getting the hell out of Dodge after Hurricane Hermine. PeatyPete (1121) - NETHERLANDS - AUG 17, 2016
Light hazy golden colour with white head. Aroma is sweet malt and fruity. Taste sweet fruit and easy drinking.
