Nice floral and citrus nose on this amber brew. Medium tan head and somewhat clody pour. Surprisingly bitter and woody on the tongue, medium body and smooth. Finishes with a touch of cheese, bitters, and oak. Very complex and tasty.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours hazy golden in color with a whitish head. Grapefruit, pine and bark of spruce in aroma. Bitter grapefruit in taste, no sign of any sweetness at first, some wooden notes too. Harsh mouthfeel with some earthy and green herbal notes. As I was looking forward to something near the standard of their #500, this was a disappointment as it felt too sharp and in a way the bitterness didn’t fit here that well. Feels more like a regular, quite woody bitter IPA.

An orange colour, head is medium and blond. Aroma is tropical and grapefruity, mangos, grapefruits and some pine needles. Fresh and tastefull aroma. Taste is fruitfull and tropical, grapefruits, lots of pine needles, medium and soft bitterness. Nicely balanced with caramelly sweetness and hops. Taste is almost dry, great! The aftertaste is wooden and pine. Medium+ bodied, easy and slippery to drink. Balanced and not too sweet DIPA. More fruits in the taste would be great, now more harsh touch.

Bottle. Orange copper hazy, frothy. Very strong grapefruit hoppyness with floral perfumy tones. Clean double malty, some sweetness in there as well. Body is full, quite soft, tasteful. Good bitters, some malty sweetness. Caramelized malt. Long finish with a bit of earthy herby hops, the double, over-cooked, malt. Clean and friendly, good quality as always. Reminds me of brewdogs stuff + a bunch of others with just the same flavor profile.

A - Pours a turbid glowing orange with active carbonation. Nice rocky head that creates a moundy foam ceiling. This head does not fade below 1/4 of an inch. Think circles of lacing. Very beautiful looking beer. S - Heavy bready yeast, soapy hops. T - Assertive hops hit first. Bitter grapefruit oil and floral flavors mostly. Earthy pine starts showing up along with a bready chalky yeast. The hops create a dry bitterness that sticks to the tongue long after the finish. Some tropical and stone fruit mixes with tea tannins in the background. Sweet crackery malt gets wicked away with a very dry and bitter finish. M - Medium to moderate carbonation, light side of medium body. Bitterness seems to be the focus and it does a great job of delivering it. The aroma, however, is very lackluster. It seems to be one dimensional but it’s nice to see a hop forward DIPA. I would buy this again. Serving type: bottle 04-23-2012

Fin gylle farve med lite skum som forsvinner. Søtlig sitruslukt. Smak av søt sitrus og humle. Lite carbonert. Frisk bitter ettersmak. Vinmonopolet.
