English: ’Ut på tur is inspired by the Norwegian forest. Fresh spruce shoots and a good dose of lingonberry beer made with lambic yeast have been added to the beer. Close your eyes, taste, and imagine sitting on a wooden stump in the forest.

Editor’s note: Made for the European Beer Festival 2008 in Copenhagen, tap only, but a few bottles found their way to Norwegian pubs.

A unique aroma, of cranberries, earth and pine. It all ends up smelling like ginger ale! The flavour is identical to the aroma, with a body which isn’t too rich, but not thin. A hint of licorice. The cranberry serves to balance the sweetness perfectly with acidity. A unique and interesting ale!

Nice light brown creamy longlasting head. Aroma is mild sweet and sour-ish fruity, dark sugar, caramel, spruce twigs, minerals, mountain cranberries, grass, dark malts, berry skin. Taste is slightly sweet sour-ish fruity, dark sugar, mountain cranberries, grass, berry skin, minerals, spruce twigs, weeds. Little bitterness, slightly sour-ish dry mouthfeel. Lovely juice....

With its attractive reddish-brown color and bold foam is a pure joy to sense the malt rich and pine needle aroma. It has distinct taste of caramel malt and a nice tart flavor of pine needles. Lovely fullness and light heating nature with comfortable and appropriate hop bitterness.

Dark brown to mahogany in colour, quite a large caramel head. Some spruce but mostly citrus of the hops. Lots of roasted caramel, red berry, spicy, dark fruits, herbal and malty. Initial taste was of a very sweet brew, the mouth feel was very creamy and filling, had nice tones of coffee and chocolate.

Aroma is sourish with lingonberries, some earthy notes and hints of herbs. Flavour has lingonberries, some pine needles, spices and herbs. An odd brew where Nøgne house flavour is clearly present.

0.5l bottle. #366 shared with The Tasting Crew. A heavy gusher indeed! Pours a brown light blurry body with a medium sized light brown-ish sidesticking head. It has a really minty aroma! I was surprised over how minty this one smelled. Also some pine, it’s light sour and definitely herbal. Toothpaste! Yeah, that’s it! Almost like toothpaste, but in a quite nice way. It tastes also quite nice. Mildly sweet with a clear lingonberries flavor, more herbal tones, pine and also a suiting a twinch of sour. Not a dumb idea at all this beer, and I quite liked it! Thanks for sharing Inbreak! 13.04.2012

Bottle. Courtasy of the best man on beer cellaring in Bergen. Pours a deep dark brown to black colour after gushing a bit. It’s pretty hazy and leaves a medium beige head on top. Aromas of pine, berries, anise, roast and little bit coffee. More forest in the mouth with heather, wet wood, cranberris, coffee and some roast and spices, nutmeg I think. A slick and silky mouth feel. Really one of a kind beer with the whole norwegian nature experince in a bottle!

Bottle, shared with Bergen Beer Geek Tasting Crew’s Epic Abstrakt/Blåbær tasting, feat. special guests Foffern and StoreMy. :-) Gusher! When it’s done, a deep amber/brown body with a small white head materializes. Nose is dark malts, pine and grassy hops with hints of berries and sour-ish mint-like tones. Taste is licorice, pine and red berries, with hints of forest underbrush-like herbal notes and heather honey. Hints of lingonberries and blackberries. Interesting and somehow demanding, but in a good way. Very nice.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with red tinges down the side. Light brown head with a little lacing. Unusual earthy aromas show lots of ginger, spice and a little malt sweetness. Flavours show the sweetness balanced by a nice light sourness. Good beer
