This Belgian Ale is what you could call a wit with an attitude. We are generous with all our ingredients - including both orange peel and coriander. This does not stop this ale from being a good companion with seafood dishes.

Recommended serving temperature 8°C/45°F.

11P 20 IBU 4,5% ABV.

First impression has considerable bitterness, which quickly fades. Aroma is dry, has flavors of citrus and hops. Quickly diminishing head. A superb white beer!

UPDATED: MAY 29, 2010 This was my first real "epiphany" in the craft beer world. A fantastically balanced hoppy, fruity beauty which, like your favorite pornstar, never fails to fulfill! Its golden hazy appearance is wonderful and the sweetness/bitterness balance is great! Aroma is floral with lots of coriander and some vanilla notes and a general fruitiness. It’s very rich and satisfying, very very well balanced and so drinkable it’s scary.

2008 Vintage (bottled on 19.11.2008) / batch 395 – 50 cl. bottle split between me and Belgbeergeek – thx to him: (A) nice completely opaque, light apricot yellow with a tad dense white head – (S) smells like lemon drops, slight citrus hops, lovely soft yeast mixed with some sweet, tad sweet spices – (T) taste is soft, mellow, slightly sweet with some lovely yeast & wheat (yeast is a tad bit more present than the wheat), lemon drops, touch apricot, lemon zest (mellow & slight not harsh), tad sweeter spices (no coriander), leading into a slightly bitter finish with some citrus hops & touch very lightly floral spices – (B) fluffy, yeasty & well-carbonated, very nice Wit

A very good, very sharp wit. The orange and coriander is pungent and aggressive. The beer is medium bodied, light orange colored, and a bit sweet. Tried in Norway during the cabin weekend near Fredrikstad, 2012.

500 ml bottle. Definetely one of my all-time favourite beer experiences, close to a top-star beer. It has a body of summer and lightness, and the flavours mixed with acidic hints and well-balanced bitterness give a almost perfect total picture.

Scandinavian Beer Night. Thanks to Akevitt for pulling this tasting together and all the gems! Hazy gold color with a thin head. Aroma of coriander, sweet orange and light wheat. Light coriander taste, lots of wheat. Quite yeasty. A perfumy finish. Very thick.

Hazy pale yellow colour with a white head. A wonderful aroma with citrus and coriander. A fine blend of yeast, wheat, citrus and coriander in the flavour. If they lifted this beer 1% ABV it would have been perfect I belive.

A delicious wit. I am never disappointed when I have a nøgne ø, and this refreshing witbier is no exception.
