UPDATED: FEB 28, 2017 on tap at le barrage, longueuil. dunno what V3 stands for - tasted as "goupille". unclear medium dark golden pour with a small white cap offering some retention and lacing. catpee and other citra-induced components, lots of spices - usual clove and pepper suspects; phenolic fruits - light banana esters and perfumey pears; some berries with a significant enough amount of acidity, unmistakable peppery wheat, wooden notes, almost like oak chips; yeast. moderate carbonation, light body, drying spicy-piney-citrusy finish. not reinventing hopfenweisse but more than fair with relatively low phenolic levels and enough hops (obvious citra). A hazed blonde weizen with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light piney notes, light pear notes, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light pear notes, fruity esters, light cloves, banana esters, light mineral notes, pleasant. On tap at Le Barrage. Drank on cask (10 oz) at 7th Soirée Cask at Benelux on December 8, 2012. Creamy blond, little head. Pineapple citra aroma, notes of tea. Taste of green tea, dry citra hops, slightly juicy, bitter dry herbs. I started to really like the citra!
