On tap at Tomahawk Bar. Pours black and thick, a bit sharp up front but mellows as the malt kicks in. It grew on me with each sip. Not too bad.
Draught at Brewski, Brisbane. Poured an opaque black with 5mm of tan dense foam head that retained very well but laced poorly. Carbonation low. Aroma of nice and not overpowering roasted notes plus sweetness from chocolate and vanilla. Taste is nice and mild and quite sweet (chocolate, vanilla) with not a lot of the roasted notes coming through. Medium body. Smooth and creamy with a soft low bitterness on the finish. fletchfighters (1604) - AUSTRALIA - OCT 22, 2014
Black with a tan head. Good body to head, nice lacing.
Nose was roast, wood, subtle spices ( thought on cedar), chocolate, coffee and vanilla.
Taste reflects the nose well. More spice from the wood though. Sort of peppery in a way.
Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Long, long finish. Solid beer mkel07 (6546) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - AUG 27, 2014
On tap at Archive Beer Boutique April 2014. Big looking beer with deep black colour and tan head. Vanilla and dark chocolate in the aroma and has a dry bitter finish.
