Bottle from Tbone, thanks! Deep dark brown color. Apple syrup and tar in the aroma. Sweet alcoholic flavor. Thin. Lots of laurel and even a hint of smoke and licorice. Some bitterness in the aftertaste. A most peculiar beer. JK54B (1602) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 31, 2008
A bottle from local K-Supermarket. Pale fast disappearing head. Hazy dark reddish black colour. Mild malty nose. Mild taste. Mild hoppiness. tlind2 (1732) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 30, 2008
330 ml bottle. Very dark brown color, tan head that didn’t last. Roasted malt aroma with some dark fruit and herbal hops. Syrupy malt flavor with hoppy notes. Medium-full body, medium carbonation. It’s ok. mikkopen (1165) - Guelph, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 1, 2008
330 ml bottle. Deep dark brown, nearly black, tiny light brown head. Mildly roasted malty aroma. The flavour is roasted, rather dry, with a hint of hoppy bitterness in the finish. A bit thin and lame. Kavu (4815) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 26, 2008
Dark amber color, almost black. Nonexistent light brown head. Aroma has some yeast and malt. Quite little flavor, but a bitter finish with some hops. Mouthfeel is a bit too sparkly for me.

Bottle@Home. Prunes and dark malts aroma. Very dark brown color, light brown head, few lace. Sweet, spicy, bitter - especially in the finish - fruity sourness, blackcurrant, hint of chocolate. Sticky mouthfeel. Not bad but too much different flavors makes it unbalanced. faroeviking (10918) - FAROE ISLANDS - SEP 18, 2008
Clear botella. Clear deep red-brown colour with a rather short lasting bubbly off-white head. Sweetish caramel malty aroma with a light chocolate touch. The mouthfeel is good but bit thin. Flavour of mild roasted caramel with malt, some dark fruits and light chocolate. Thanks Patrik. Thin dunkel. larsga (7543) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 29, 2008
Biggish beige head. Barely translucent deep dark red body. Earthy roasty caramel aroma with notes of cinnamon and wild berries as well as faint hop traces. Dry roasty earthy cinnamon taste with a background sweetness. Hoppy licorice notes. Dry roasty earthy wild berry aftertaste with chocolatey notes. Nice, flavourful, and harmonic. (0.33l bottle, Alko, Helsinki.) MitchWayne (263) - Kokkola, FINLAND - AUG 22, 2008
A good one from nokia, the kind of a roasted malty ryebread beer that I could live on. Ibrew2or3 (8614) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JUL 20, 2008
UPDATED: AUG 26, 2008 Courtesy of Degarth. Pours dark brown with tan head. The aroma is mild with notes of dark malts, chocolate malts, faint roastiness, light dark fruity esters and some earthiness. The taste is roasty dark and moving toward toastiness. I get a bit of chocolate mixing with raisins and other dark fruity ester notes. Smooth and drinkable.
