From a bottle recieved from oh6gdx. The aroma reminds me of old toffee with some notes of walnuts. The body is nearly black with a dark orange tint at the edges. The highly carbonted mouthfeel helps the light body. There are tastes of dark chocolate and some light roasted peanuts. This is more roasted and interesting than many dunkels. omhper (25570) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAY 3, 2007
Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Black with firm beige head. Licorice aroma. Dry with notes of aniseed and tar. Medium bodied, very roasty, clean mouthfeel. Some toffee before a short salty finish. Solid winter lager! taunusmies (378) - FINLAND - APR 20, 2007
Pours deep brown with a medium head. Malty, a bit smoky, aroma. Roasted and a slightly fusty aftertaste.
A decent cheap beer for cold season. Cletus (6355) - Connecticut, USA - MAR 23, 2007
UPDATED: MAR 24, 2007 Bottle courtesy of oh6gdx. Pours brown with a good rocky tan head that slowly fades away. Smells is a strange mix of nuts, dough, roses, some sweet citrus and splashes of pepper. Tastes of coffee, chocolate and cough drops. Finish is bitter with hints of cherry and some rosey splashes. Totally black color; dense and decidedly impenetrable, never seen a dunkel such as this one. Nut foam color, dense and voluminous , optimal resistance. Aroma filled with smoke with rumors of ash, burned wood, braced malt. Much dense and bitter taste, lightly mushy with elevated alcoholic tone. Decided full-bodied, creamy mouthfeel and very roast aftertaste.

Thanks to mabjork for this one.
courtesy of oh6gdx - pours an opaque dark brown colour under a solid creamy beige head; nice lace; roasted malty aroma with notes of biscuits and apples; creamy mouthfeel and a high carbonation, robust initial sweetness, medium to full-bodied; hint of late bitterness; the aftertaste is very toasty, malty, earthy and buttery - a good beer Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - FEB 13, 2007
Near black colored, medium sized beige head. Aroma has chocolate with some bitter hops and sweetness, still somehow perfumy aroma. Medium bodied. Flavor is crispier with also chocolate and mild licorice, somehow artificial aftertaste with some roastiness. Crispy carbonation. raymondwave (931) - FINLAND - FEB 12, 2007
UPDATED: OCT 6, 2007 This seems pretty much like the (retired?) Nokian Jouluolut. Quite dry, roasted, coffee, dark chocolate, yet it’s not too dense. Very good. I hope to see this in the years to come. Nokian Panimo is definately the one to look at in Finland. rsmeds (228) - Turku, FINLAND - JAN 10, 2007
Virtually opaque, nearly black color, with a small beige head.
Sweetish, grassy, roasted malt aroma.
Dryish roasted malt flavor with hoppy background. Vaguely kalja-like, with a hint of rye.
Moderate carbonation. Somewhat light bodied, but a very nice finnish winter dunkel nevertheless. fonefan (50762) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JAN 5, 2007
Bottle. Dark brown color with a large brown fair lasting head. Aroma is malty, roasted, coffe, chocolate, and some notes of rye ?. Flavor is sweet and dry with roasted malt with some coffe / chocolate taste that stay for very longtime. Harmless and easy.
