Damn! I wasn’t the first one to rate this =) I didn’t know I was supposed to "stir" either. The brew has a thick brown head. Reminds me a lot of Sinebrychoff Porter by the way. Almost completely black colour. Musty but average strength aroma of juniper, fruits and chocolate. Extremely thick taste of chocolate and tar. Oily and thick, leaves a plastic coating in the mouth. Bottled. A pitch black beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt, and lighter notes of soy sauce, caramel, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt and chocolate, as well as light notes of straw, leading to a dry roasted finish. Bov (12636) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - MAR 1, 2007
courtesy of oh6gdx - pours an opaque dark brown colour under a solid creamy beige head; nice lace; roasted malty aroma with notes of biscuits and apples; creamy mouthfeel and a high carbonation, robust initial sweetness, medium to full-bodied; hint of late bitterness; the aftertaste is very toasty, malty, earthy and buttery - a good beer DSG (14784) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - APR 1, 2008
(3/1/08) Sample from a bottle (I think FatPhil brought this one - thanks!) at the RB table at Zythos Bier Festival 2008 in Sint Niklaas. Dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of malt and caramel. Sweet flavor with malt, caramel, a bit of toastiness and a bit of dark fruits. Finishes a bit drier with hints of yeast and earth. Medium-bodied and a good mouthfeel. estpiwo (1319) - ESTONIA - JAN 3, 2010

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of tbone_. Clear, dark brown with a reddish hue and a creamy, beige head leaving a neat lacework. Sweetish aroma of caramel and roasted malt. Rather full body with plenty of roasted malt and burned caramel and even some fruit. The finish is dry. Quite interesting. 270707 afterglow (1047) - Florida, USA - JUL 8, 2008
Bottle courtesy CigarCityBrew. Pours a very dark brown with a small light tan head. Aroma of caramel, sweet malt, and a hint of roast. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness. Very good. Ibrew2or3 (8614) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JUL 20, 2008
UPDATED: AUG 26, 2008 Courtesy of Degarth. Pours dark brown with tan head. The aroma is mild with notes of dark malts, chocolate malts, faint roastiness, light dark fruity esters and some earthiness. The taste is roasty dark and moving toward toastiness. I get a bit of chocolate mixing with raisins and other dark fruity ester notes. Smooth and drinkable. joergen (28164) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 30, 2007

Biggish beige head. Barely translucent deep dark red body. Earthy roasty caramel aroma with notes of cinnamon and wild berries as well as faint hop traces. Dry roasty earthy cinnamon taste with a background sweetness. Hoppy licorice notes. Dry roasty earthy wild berry aftertaste with chocolatey notes. Nice, flavourful, and harmonic.
