On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is cocoa and dark fruit. Medium mouth, rich, chocolate, toffee, light dry finish, good.

Clear medium to dark brown color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dark malt, sour malt, light roasted. Flavour is moderate sweet and light acidic with a long duration, tart malt - fruit, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.

Draft on tap at the brewery (New Orleans, LA). Pours a deeper dark brownish hue with ruby glow, a decent haziness and nice glow in body and edges of that brownish ruby love. Frothy tannish head atop dies down smaller ring wise, mellow lacing. Aromas are cocoa, brown malts, faint molasses, earth and faint coffee. Initial is lighter end of the fold, a decent toastiness, brown malt, chestnut. Some decent earth, toast, jabs of dry cocoa nib. Some gentle body, the smaller ABV makes this more a Session Brown, smaller light body makes this go down easy. A decent toast, earthiness and carmelized feel as we round the corner. Earth, a gentle spice. Some gentle coffee grounds, biscuit and earth as we taper out. Almost an odd flash of diacetyl at times but it’s hit or miss, not on every taste. Finish is cocoa, dry, faint cola and earth. A bit toasty, carmelized. Solid lighter brown with some character.
