This is one of the best beers I have ever had. I am suprised that Rb thinks so low of it. Greatest session beers ever. Light and crisp with a great body daknole (11048) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAY 21, 2012
Nice dark brown pour, light brown head. Lots of coffee in the nose with some nice toasty malts. Flavor is really nice, up front cofee, roasted malt, dark toast. A nice brew from a really cool people. Erzengel (9745) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - MAR 12, 2014
Very dark in the glass with a beige head. The beer starts malty dry with a nice refreshing sour note. The mainpart is malty-dry and slightly sourish. In the aftertaste the beer is nicely dry, nearly no sweetness with hints of roasted malt. Thereby refreshing sourish nice. jimmiec (122) - Louisiana, USA - AUG 25, 2009

Not that I don’t like this beer, it is my least favorite of NOLA’s selection. But, with that said, the Avenue Pub serves the best damn Brown in town. I don’t know if its the nitro are the clean lines. But, if this rating related only to Ave Pub I’d give it 4+.

NOLA Brown Ale has a thin, but creamy head and is very dark red in color. Carbonation is minimal. This ale is surprisingly mild and bitterness is slight. Mouthfeel is light and rather watery. This was served very fresh on tap at the NOLA brewery and was delicious. RJT

Draft at the source. Clear deep amber brown color. Aroma of chocolate covered brownies. Taste is coffee grounds. Nice.
