This beer is the culmination of over 30 years of brewing by our Brewmaster, Peter Hopzilla Caddoo. Created at our Tchoupitoulas Street brewery, our India Pale Ale was hand crafted with six malts and six hops. This big, beautiful beer is dry hopped with Amarillo and Simcoe hops to accentuate aromas of citrus and pine. Grab a Hopitoulas and taste the passion and dedication that has gone into this brew.

16oz can via UD in trade. Big golden body with similar growing oily head. A lucious nose of hops and malts that does not seem to fade. Spectacularly balanced. Hops and malts appear continuously and show their stuff like runway models from VS. Its like a small parade of separate hops and malts in my mouth. Yum...

16 ounce can. Pours an amber orange color. Moderate foamy beige head. Big citrusy pine needle nose. Flavor offers more pine and citrus, but not overdone. Bittersweet toasted malt and grapefruit peel. Smooth as IPAs go. Nice alternative to the standard fare around town in the Big Easy.

Can (16 oz). Ours copper color with thick white head that dissipates quickly; substantial lacing. Citrus and pine aroma. Grapefruit with caramel notes. Pine in the finish. Body is a little thin. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Location: Pint on tap at Felixs Oyster House Appearance: Lighter amber slightly hazy. Big fluffy white head Nose: Mostly lightly roasted malt. Slight bitter hops. Taste: lightly sweet malt on the front. Finishes with good bitters Body: lighter and fluid Parting thoughts: I had no idea this was an IPA, until after I drank it. I was assuming it was a pilsner or some English style bitter. Not a typical IPA at all. So, other than that, it was underwhelming and forgettable.

IPA Tapped out amber. 12SRM. Nose is beery, maybe a bit of pine on second approach. Nose has a very beery character, way too much and without the herbaceous or citrus aromas one might expect of an IPA. Mouthfeel is thin soapy. Palate has sweet toasty malty flavors of graham cracker, honey and maybe taffy or candy. Hops are bitter with pine, grass and in the front part of the palate orange peel which then fades into a pronounced bitter of pine, pine sap and a bit of resinous sticky finish. Finish is medium with bitter and herbaceous flavors on the back palate. It does finish clean. Barely makes it to faves, but It did make enough of a positive impression with the full malt body, and the nice hop balance to make it. Probably the weirdest IPA to make it to the list. Really almost like an aggressively hopped lager, like an IPL. Goes on Favorites List!
