Poured slightly hazy with a nice frothy head. Great lacing too. Tastes of pine, slightly peppery. Good IPA, not over citrusy, but not European. Drinks mid-upper carbonation. Really Nice.

Hopitoulas NOLA Brewing - Walking around Garden District/Irish Channel neighborhoods, not wanting to pee outdoors we come upon Pete’s Out in the Cold Bar. Not more than a few blocks from the brewery, they could distribute via pedicab if necessary. Great conversation with bartender, Houston connection with Melody. Six hops and some acidulated malt, i suspect to enhance some of the hops rather than give a sour flavor. Unique and spicy, flavorful, tropical, very complex hop profile. Enough to overpower the years of smoke and funk in this landmark bar. This is like putting a modern, highly customized perfume on an old hooker, resulting in an aromatic delight in the absence of light, adding ten more years to her working life. It’s still wet inside, smells sensational, and makes you feel great. I’d definitely come back for more! @nolabrewing #nolabrewing #hopitoulas #ipa #neworleans #petesoutinthecold http://www.nolabrewing.com/bee

From tap. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is grapefruity and slight citrusy. Bitter, smooth fruity. Crisp hoppy. Bitter and lingering fruity finish. Crisp fruity finish.

Some pine and some light citrus. Ok, but subdued hops like you have a weight on your ankle. Bitter finish. Tall can thanks to Maigua.

Pours a hazed copper with a messy, oily white head. Nose is subdued citrus, some pine and grain. Some zest on the tongue, something is out of whack though, an imbalance, cracker, strange clotting bitterness. Reminds me of a chain brew pub IPA.

16oz can. Pours clear dark copper in color. Aroma of floral, pine, citrus. Flavor of pine, pineapple, tangerine, lemon peel, spruce, jasmine. This IPA has a lot of complexity with a malty backbone yet showing the citrus and piney bitterness later. I like it.

On tap at Pere Antoine’s in the French Quarter. Pours a clear golden/orange with small white head that leaves practically no lacing. Aroma has citrus and peach with a hint of roasted malts. Taste is bitter but not noticeably so. Body is light to medium with average carbonation. OK but not very memorable.

Burk köpt i Tennessee. Disigt, mörk bärnsten med smutsvit skumkrona. Doft av rostad malt, knäck och ananas. Halvsöt, besk och lätt bränd kropp. Smak av ananas, knäck, bränt socker och gräs.

DATE: May 29th, 2017... OCCASION: Day two of the Quiz Bowl tournament, and we struggled against some strong competition... that calls for a strong beer...GLASSWARE: nondescript pint... brown amber body that releases little effervescence, but lifts dirty white head into arcs of lacing... medium-bodied, crunchy in the teeth, and formidable at 6.5%... chewy, worthwhile... on first sniff, mango and grapefruit combine with rye bread; thick and doughy, though the spicy hoppiness bites back... pepper, pine and resin in equal amounts--quite inviting... peach, mango and grapefruit make for a pleasant, worthwhile IPA that balances its bread malts in equal measure... love the name, having walked its somewhat altered street name twice now... a bit dry, as the glass drains...

16oz can. This one pours a cloudy, orange hued golden color. There was a small off white head that left minimal lacing. Lighter aroma. Some pine, citrus and earthy notes. The taste is good. Not much bitterness. Pine, citrus, earthy hops. Faint flavor of roasted malts. Good!

Draft at the Ole Saint Kitchen & Tap. Light hazy, golden to orange appearance with a fluffy beige head. Aroma of piney hops, floral notes, zesty hops, light resin and light malts. Similar flavor, adding medium hop bitterness and a light grainy sweetness. Medium body with a clean feel and a smooth finish.
