Irish Channel Stout is our newest seasonal ale. Released in November, this is an American style stout that has sweet malt flavors of caramel and chocolate, complimented by a crisp bitterness produced by roasted barley and American Hops. The complex malt bill of pale and roasted malts result in this well balanced stout that is smooth, rich, dark and delicious! And watch out – ABV 6.8%! This seasonal will be available on draft through March.

16 oz can. The clear, reddish brown body is so dark that it is nearly opaque in the glass. The creamy beige head has good retention. Aroma: some hops appear lending an unfortunate grassy aroma. The flavor largely follows, hampered by a slight sourness. Lingering notes of light coffee, burnt toast, and hops.

You can definitely taste the malts afterwards. Pretty decent stout. Beautiful appearance & smell for a stout. Solid choice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at taproom. Opaque black color. Good beige head, lace. Aroma is toasted coffeish, toasted. Light-bodied. Light coffee flavor, toastyness. Very easy ... too easy for 6.8% beer. Lacks malts.

Pint can thanks to my mom. Nose is roast. Sip is coffee with a pine/resin finish. I can’t identify all the malt flavors. Do I get a demerit? Well balanced. Grapefruit burp. Reminds me of a black ipa.

I bought a 4-pack of this to drink in my hotel room in New Orleans... and then brought some home with me! Boy was it worth it. A great beer.

Bottle - Pours black, off-white head. It’s a strange, but good, mix of aromas/flavors. I get burnt pancakes, coffee, and a rich roasted malt... ending with hops.
