dark gold syrupy mess, nose is enough to let you know that if you are looking for either an East Coast or West Coast Specimen, this Gulf Coast attempt at a DIPA was not going to be a success. Hard to finish especially with so many great options on tap at Avenue Pub on Charles St.
Large orange/yellow pour. Aroma is large resiny hops and underlying malt. Sweet malt and resiny hops lead into solid bitter finish very good boto (2250) - Granby, Connecticut, USA - MAY 18, 2017
16oz can: this one pours a hazy orangish golden color. There was a small off white head that leaves some lacing. Good nose! Almost old school by today’s standards, as mainly pine and grapefruit hop notes. Perhaps some lemon too. the taste is good too. Lots of hops, and a big bitter bite. The malt sweetness is hiding in the background. Pine, grapefruit and lemon hop flavors. A decent beer! ajnepple (6707) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 23, 2017
On tap at Beer Fest on Bourbon Street. Golden to amber and light hazy appearance with a lacy beige head. Aroma of resinous hops and toasted malts. Similar flavor, resinous, hoppy and sweet with maybe a hint of diacetyl/dms, slightly off. Medium to full body with a lingering hop finish. Not bad overall. Can. Hoppy aroma immediately upon opening the can. Fairly clear, golden orange, frothy white head. Long lasting. Hoppy, lush aroma. Malt, grain, slightly bready. Grapefruit, crackers. Flavor is crackery, bready grain. Bitterness in the finish, not overbearing but lingers. Alcohol hidden. Hoppy flavor. TBone (17699) - Pori, FINLAND - FEB 27, 2017
Tap at taproom. Murky orange-amber, small steady beige head. Riped tropical fruits in the nose. Medium-bodied. Tropical fruits, strawberry, sticky hoppyness. Sweetish. Meh.

Aroma is pungent hops and citrus/fruit. The flavor is much the same with a spicy/alcoholic finish. Cajun (534) - Lafayette, Louisiana, USA - AUG 21, 2016
Pint can - Pours medium amber/orange, thick white head. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, refrigerated flowers. Flavors of citrus, namely grapefruit, some pine, fermented fruit medley, and a hint of light roasted grain malt. Hops are definitive throughout. Good brew. nearbeer (5462) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JUL 19, 2016
Pint can. Mostly clear, orange-copper with a spongy disc of foam. Big nose of pineapple and caramel balanced by some peppery resin, lemongrass and grapefruit. Flavors of toffee, zesty orange-grapefruit, resin and biscuit. Finish has some small notes of pepper, garlic, wood and spicy leaf. Medium-heavy body has light-medium carbonation. Big beer with the necessarily big dry finish to make it very drinkable. Carlisle (767) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 21, 2016
Draft in NOLA. Pours copper with a buck white head and substantial lacing. Pine hop aroma. Thick, biscuit malt upfront followed by pine hops.
