IPA - India Pale Ale, pivní styl, který byl původně vařen v Anglii pro královská vojska v Indii, se dočkal bouřlivé reinkarnace ve Spojených státech koncem minulého století, aby v novém miléniu doznal nových rozměrů za použití českých chmelů.

Světlý svrchně kvašený nepasterovaný nefiltrovaný speciál chmelený za studena.

České chmele : Žatecký poloraný červeňák, Sládek, Agnus a Kazbek.

On tap at Pivni rozmanitost. Pours cloudy yellow with fluffy white head. Aroma is lots of grassy hops, hint of candy. Flavor is bitter, grassy hops, malt. Very drinkable.

[ Courtesy of The Aarhus Crew ]. Clear medium orange colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - malty, moderate hoppy, grass, pine, citrus, dry, butter notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and moderate to light heavy bitter with a long duration, dry, grass. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130405]

Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of tangerine, pineapple, orange peel, apricot. Very fruity hops. Bitter hoppy flavour, light malts, quite dry. Dry finish, tangerine, bitter, honey.

Bottle @ ZZT VII, thx to everyone for sharing their bottles. Nice aroma of tropical fruit. Quite bitter taste. Might be a bit too dry, but overall it’s a very nice IPA.

Tasted at ZZT 7 thanks to Martinus. Pours hazy orange with a small off white head. Aroma of grapefruit grassy hops, fruits, light sweet malt. Flavor is light to moderate sweet and over moderate bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

Draught: Amber color, creamy head. Aroma of hops, cascade, grapefruite, intensive hoppy. Flavor is malty with light notes of candy, aroma hops, cascade, light sweetness, citrus peel.

Drunk in a snifter at BrauKunstLive! 2013 in München. I wish I could’ve tried all 5 on offer, but only got the Karel, a “Czech IPA,” which was a 7.6% citrusy wonder, dry hopped with Czech hops, Smaragd I bet. Another WOW.
