bartlebier (4216) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - DEC 19, 2017
(2014ish backlog and aged MHD 07/2013, partly turned into Glühbier). - - Filling, but streamlined fruit compote Eisbock of white pip/stonefruits with a soggy mid. Minimally fuming, compote with a ring of obstler. Vintage: with 4+ yrs of cellar aging, surprisingly drinkable with a splendid head retention. Froop quark, white bread pudding, Marillenschnaps.

This beer is brune, but with a not very attractive appearance. then drinking, the aroma appear and increase, with a fantastic equilibrium between mineral and fresh taste, and a caramel and autona wood and warm taste. Total balance is more toward heavy tast. I love it!

Zlotta (4151) - Hagen, GERMANY - JUL 11, 2017
0.5 l bottle from ’Mein-Biershop.de’, best before August 2016. Clear, dark reddish amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of molasses, raisins, prunes and strawberry jam. Very sweet, malty, slightly fruity taste of lots of raisins, prunes, molasses, strawberry jam, some caramel and hints of port, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, slightly warming-alcoholic finish. Full body, almost oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. A bit simple, but tasty and saturating Eisbock.

Mariusz (12304) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - APR 13, 2017
Pours reddish brown, no head. Quite sweet, caramel, dried fruit, alcohol is present, but overly considering the ABV.

Many thanks for this beer to kevnic2008. Piwo ma mala piane do tego szybciej znikajaca niz lot F-16. Barwa to slabo zaparzona czarna herbata. Zapach kompotu se sliwek i truskawek. Nieco nawet zawyzam ocene bo rzadko mam okazje testowac ten styl. Na koniec dodam ze dwa razy mocniejszy lodowy kozlak Schorschbock mial o wiele ciekawsze cialo i nawet taki alkohol byl przyjemniejszy niz w tym przypadku.

My Bottom Line:
Toasted caramel malts and their raisiny accents dominate this clean and simple Eisbock.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam covers the translucent pale amber.
-Alcohol stings the finish, alongside a green note from the bittering hops.
-This may not be exciting for the style, but it is well made and an enjoyable sipper.
-This is more drinkable than most heavy, sugar-laden Eisbocks.

FinnIckler (979) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 27, 2017
Bottle. Pours light brown. Nose is boozy, chestnut, apple, fudge. Palate is fudge, leather, sweet. Quite drinkable for an Eisbock, but not that great.

jfb (6984) - GERMANY - MAR 27, 2017
(bottle) clear deep amber colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of fresh beef and marzipan, with lots of sugar icing, some grass and papaya. flavour is mostly pale malts, ethanol and caramel, with lots of bran flakes, some green apple and more sugar icing in the finish. medium- to heavy-bodied with soft carbonation.
