Won a gold medal at the 'Monde Selection Bruxelles'1987. Ringnes took over and closed Nordlands Bryggeri in Bodø shortly after, but continued brewing Nordlandspils at E.C. Dahls Bryggeri (another Ringnes subsidiary) in Trondheim. The beer has a golden colour with a faint tinge of brown, and a malty aroma with a faint scent of flowery meadow and fruit. The flavour is aromatic and supple, with sweetish notes of mellow fruits.

Tap på O’Learys. Farge lys gul med lett hvitt skum. Lukt eple, malt. Smak eple, malt, humle. Mild fin bitterhet. Grei pils

smmaaren (588) - NORWAY - JUL 28, 2016
33 cl bottle from coop prix. Enjoyed straight from the bottle. Aromas of malts and grains. Taste is sweet with some bitterness. Average lager.

jpkeskinen (530) - FINLAND - JUN 24, 2016
Draught. A very basic lager and what you would expect from someone like Carlsberg. Not that much taste, only some slight sweetness.

Nonshaugen (681) - Fetsund, NORWAY - AUG 20, 2015
50 cl can. Golden yellow, fairly carbonated. Aroma is light malts and white bread. Well carbonated and bitter, but not much flavour of anything else than the usual pilsner malt. Thin and watery mouthfeel. By no means a bad beer, the bittering hops stay with you for a long time at the back of your tongue and mouth. But, again, that’s about all I get in reward for drinking it.

It may not be the best lager in the world, but its the best mass market Norwegian one... Surprisingly dry with some decent hop character.

metalspice (1142) - Jevnaker, NORWAY - APR 10, 2015
Klar ravfarget med lavt skum. Duft av honning, gress og et forstyrrende element av kokte grønnsaker. Grei friskhet med litt gress og karamell. Lett bitterhet mot slutten

Florya (2027) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 8, 2015
How: Can Appearance: light golden, medium white head Aroma: floral, honey, grass. Palate: thin body, average carbonation.

Above average for a Norwegian macrobrew. Just about the right combination of bitterness and sweetness to win the competition against the likes of Hansa, Dahls or Turborg pilseners. No aftertaste, which for a major Norwegian pilsener is better than the alternative. Average color and mouthfeel.

Holmen2 (4301) - NORWAY - OCT 11, 2014
From can 11.10.14. Clear golden. Quickly diminishing white head. Sweet aroma and taste, with minor hints of malt, hops and wine gum. Soft bitterness in aftertaste. No off-tastes except.the wine gum. Decent drinkability.
