A hazy red beer with a fine though disappearing beige head. The aroma is spicy with notes of yeast and roasted malt. The flavor is very sweet withn notes of cinnamon, De Dolle yeast, and the mouthfeel is very smooth. jfm (1724) - Holbæk, DENMARK - DEC 6, 2004
Brown color with a beige head. The taste is sweet with loads of fruits. Has a slight sour yeasty pattern. Light nutty notes and a warming alcohol finish. Nice one. madsberg (11798) - Søborg, DENMARK - NOV 9, 2004
Draught @ the brewpub: Reddish brown coloured. Beige medium sized and lasting head. Yeast (yes it is De Dolle), spices, fruit and malt in the nose. Flavour is light alcaholic, friuty and spicy. Has some yeast notes. Ends on a nice alcahol note, that smoothfully warms your lips. The beer lacks a little in complexity and strenghts and nuances in the flavours, but still this is a very nice brew from a very skilled homebrewer. Its very magnanimous of NB to let the winner of the danish championship in homebrewing make a full scale batch. Jeppe (2634) - Brooklyn, Alabama, USA - NOV 7, 2004
Muddy brown beer with a foamy tan head. Yeast, malt, dark fruit and berries in the aroma. Heavy and sweet with obvious De Dolle tones (the beer is brewed with De Dolle yeast). Flavor is very full and sticky. Yeasty, malty and hayish with notes of raisins, prunes and berries. Sweet at first with some sourness towards the end. Odd taste thats gets a little cloying in the long run. Still a fine and interesting beer!ToolHead (266) - København, DENMARK - NOV 6, 2004
Dobbelt Så Brunt (Belgo 8) - Dubbel - 8,3% - Winner of the Danish Homebrewing Championship 2004, bronze at the Scandinavian Championship 2004. Brewed with
yeast from De Dolle Oeral on December 29th 2003.
Sampled from bottle at Danish Beer Festival 2004 (May 16th 2004).
Pours a light muddy colored beer with a foamy tan head (just in the spirit of De Dolle!). Strong aroma of dark malt, spices, pepper and De Dolle yeast.
Flavor is malty and spicy with a dry finish. Foamy mouthfull. An excellent homebrew with evident comparison to the beers from De Dolle!

Draught at Nørrebro Bryghus. Served in stemmed stout glass.Hazy brownish red. OK, off-white head with good longevity. The aroma is nicely rounded, warm and vinous. Dark fruits dominate, and some alcohol is noticeable. The taste is impressively, darkly fruity (raisins), and the finish is nice and long. The mouthfeel is soft and pleasant. Drinkability is good for the strength.

Thomas Hoelgaard won the danish championship in homebrew with this beer, and has brewed this guestbeer in larger scale at Nørrebro Bryghus.
Deep brown colour with a fine off-white head.
Malty aroma with notes of spices and raisins.
Intensive flavor with lots of malt and with notes of raisins and chocolate, which ends up with a very balanced bitterness.
