Editor’s note: Çeske Böhmer has been made from all organic ingredients since November 2011. All ratings of the beer after that date should be entered here.

Pours a clear deep gold. Near-white head with good duration. Light sweet generic malt aroma. A vague hint of earthy hops. Medium to light body. Slick mouthfeel. Clean but light malt base. Fairly dry with some toasted hints. Mild bitterness. Not very flavorfull, but goes well with Thai food. [Draft at Thai Pan, Nørrebro as "Nørrebro Pilsner" ]

Flaske, 40 cl.

Once again a confirmation that Czech beer is difficult to brew outside the Czech Republic. Nørrebro has brewed a good, Danish pilsner, but it lacks the crispness and purity of the Czech water.

On tap at the brewpub, April 2014. A golden colour with a small head. A fresh hoppy aroma. A hoppy flavour but pretty bland overall. A slightly bitter, citrus finish. A little watery.

Bottle as Böhmer Pilsner, 5%. Clear copper with a medium sized white head. Grass, grain, straw, sulphur, a bit malty sweet. Medium body, soft texture, soft carbonation, light/medium sweet and bitter. Easy drinking and nice to have in the fridge.

Defreni (3295) - Husum, DENMARK - SEP 5, 2013

on tap at the brewpub. weird version of czech in the name but apart from the spelling it’s reasonably faithful to the original - pale golden with a lingering head; lightly grassy aroma, a good hit of bitterness, restrained malt character. a good interpretation of the style if perhaps a tad thin

[email protected] BF 2013. Golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is sweet malts with mild grains, floral, fruity and grassy notes in a nice mellow balance. Flavour is sweet malts, some slight fruits, quite big grassy, herbal and earthy notes. A pleasant easy to drink pils.

courtesy of Antonio Rey - clear golden beer with a little foam left; some oily grassy hoppiness; medium-bodied, crisp and clean palate; grassy bitterness, very dry
