From tap at the brewpub. Pours amber, light hazy and with a dense off-white head. Solid aroma of currants and with a mild caramel malt base blending in to a mix with a delicate acidity. Aroma goes into a more herbal to mouldy note as the beer warms up. Flavour starts fruity sweet and stays sweet for quite a while before a nice bitterness and acidity takes over into the finish. Keeps lingering bitter for quite a while. Very nice.

UPDATED: APR 11, 2009 (On tap) Slightly hazy, reddish amber with a creamy, lacing, off-white head. Interesting aroma of lightly acidic fruit and aroma hops. Medium body with a very limited malt feel. Instead you get a vague yet very fresh fruity touch combined with a very distinct and bitter finish of aroma hops. A very interesting and different take on a fruit beer. Currant has two meanings in English I believe, one being a sort of raisin, the other being blackcurrant. I very much assume, that in this case the latter ingredient is used. 261107

Draught @ Nørrebro Bryghus. Average fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Somewhat cloudy amber color. Spare display of lacework. Initial sniff gave the impression of light sour notes. Then came notes of fruit, yeast, berries in particular blackcurrant. Light underlying notes of caramel and grain. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and a hint of dry texture. Moderated sweet flavor with a hint of bitterness and acidic. Surprisingly there was a light hoppy finish to this beer. Very drinkable I thought.
