Smells of wine, raisin a bit of oak and musk. No head - dark red wine colour. Light sweet, bit bitter lovely and excellent rather complex. Medium-full body long lasting well balanced finish. Rather different to the normal porters, actually hardly a typical porter. Still a good beer! madmitch76 (24360) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 4, 2011

Man, this is seriously good beer. Hit that nail on the HEAD. And POUND IT DOWN. Very nice portrayl of contrasts: big, bold, huge, yet soft and gentle. Earthy and rarefied. Cocoa but not so bitter. Poured with a great tan head and loads of lace. Color is an opaque dark brown almost black. Aroma is as above; ditto flav. Sinful. make me whine with pleasure. gawd. sfhodense (4789) - Odense NØ, DENMARK - SEP 24, 2009

Pours a wonderful redish black with a staying, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has lots of coffee, dark chocolate, subdued smoke, black currants, alcohol and a touch of liqourice. Low carbonation, super creamy and dry mouthfeel. Flavour is very nice, chocolate, coffee, roasted malts and quite dry. Long chocolatey finish. Light bitter, som malty roasted tartness. Incredibly drinkable.
Draught at Nørrebro Bryghus on 5th Birthday Party, Ryesgade 3, 2200 Copenhagen, Denmark. Clear medium black color with a average, frothy - creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, coffee, licorice, burnt notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. 110908 yngwie (17038) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 20, 2008
On tap at the brewpubs 5 year anniversary. It was served a beautiful black body with a small tan head. Chocolate, coffee and roasted malt on the nose, not much fruityness going on. Smooth in the mouth, slightly warming, with coffee, chocolate, some dried fruits and sweetness. A little bitterness too, but more a coffee-like bitterness than a hoppy bitterness. Some alcohol in the finish. A lovely beer with an extreme smoothness. (080911)
