Black with medium sized off-white head; aroma is roasted malts, herbal hops and some fruitiness; taste is low to medium sweet, roasty and hoppy, medium bitter finish; texture is thin but got a little creamy feel with medium to high carbonation and a rather light body

stouby (4777) - Holbæk, DENMARK - AUG 20, 2017
Draught at the brewpub. Dark brown with a tan had. Aroma medium malty (caramel, bread, brown sugar). Flavor medium sweet and bitter. Medium body.

Kauge (2118) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUL 21, 2017
Bottle from Biomarket, Tallinn. BB 13.03.2018. Very dark brown with big beige head. Delicate nutty aroma, some esters, roasty, some black rye bread spiciness. Moderately sweet, roasty malty flavour with a bit of bready sourness. Mouthfeel dryish. Kinda watery on the palate. Overall pretty nice. From the 4 Nørrebros I grabbed, this one is the best even though I’m not a fan of the style.

3.5

Tap. Tasted on the 11/05/2017 at Norrebro Brewpub (Copenhagen). Dark brown colour with a medium tan had. Aroma of caramel, bread and burnt sugar. Taste is similar with bread, caramel, sugar and some malts. Next one please!

400ml bottle. Very dark brown almost black color. Huge size, brown head, stays. Roast, nutty, herbal hops, something spicy and metallic in aroma. Roast, buttery, nutty, slightly husky in taste. Slick mouthfeel. Roast and some buttery caramel in aftertaste. Drinkable brew.

FatPhil (17062) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAY 20, 2017
400ml bottle (Biomarket Balti Jaam, Tallinn)
Rich sweet malty aroma, a good roast on that, quite toasty, some rye bread. Full sweet malty palate, good toasty roast. Nice spicy rye bread finish, and a good bitter throb too. Nice one, maybe even an underrate.

Look; beige head, ultra dark brown body. Aroma; caramels, dark malts, prunes. Taste; apple, hops, fruit peels the soft way, brown caramel, juicy malts - and finishes with more dark malts, chocolate, nuts, dark caramel. Palate; good, clean, fruity. Overall; good ultra dark brown ale – modest hops, good this time. [email protected]ørrebroBryghus, Cph.dk. Greetings to SkinnyViking and Joergen, at the beerplace too.

Turtles (2964) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 11, 2016
Keg @ Bishops Arms, Hornsgatan. Clear dark brown, thin tanned head leaving no lacing. Sweet syrup aroma, nuts and chocolate. Sweet taste, sugar, molasses, milk chocolate, nuts and syrup. A bit too sweet.
