Xavalias (280) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUL 31, 2014
UPDATED: AUG 29, 2014 Bottle from Irma, DK. Pours clear dark maroon-red with small beige head. Medium carbonation. Light yeasty sweet smell, light aroma of roasted malts, dried fruits. Is this some chocolate maybe? Hard to say. Taste is moderate sweet with a hint of acidity to balance, subdued bitterness. Medium to light bodied. Not bad but seriously lacks of character.

16.07.2014. On tap at Nørrebro Bryghus, Copenhagen. Dark brown colour with soft tan head. Aroma of dark malts. Kind of burnt touch without the strength. Its not thin but there could have been a little more body. Aftertaste is soft with out to much bitterness. Nice but not great.

Mørke brun med et off white skum, skummet la seg som en ring. Aroma an malt, sjokolade og nøtter. Smaken følger aroma, men blir litt metallisk. Lett bitterhet i avsluttningen.

Lite svårvärderar då drucken ur flaskan. Mörkade rostade toner i aromen. Smaken rostad malt, chocklad och nötter.

Flaska 0,4 liter.

0.4l bottle. This one quickly forms small brown bubbly top, and just as quick as it came it disappeared. This on top of a dark brown body with a little ruby cut. Smells nice with a little bit of chocolate and coffee. Also traces of candy sweets with soda pop and really sweet licorice. Fair enough. It has a nice light oily feeling in the mouth and it holds a gentle just below average carbonation level. More of the same thing found in the taste as the aroma. Soft chocolaty with dark malts, a dark sugar candy sweetness well balanced by a grassy hoppy bitterness and some roasted oily nuts. Nothing special really, but a nice easy to drink quite sweet brown ale. 25.11.2013

Cervesa amb molt bona presència d’escuma, molt torrada. Cerveza con mucha presencia de espuma, muy tostada.

En økologisk, mørk ale. Den er fyldig i smagen og har en markant bitterhed i eftersmagen.

400 ml bottle. Unclear dark brown body with a small off-white head. Mild and simple aroma of caramel malt. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, slightly spicy and low bitterness. Medium body and light aftertaste. Nothing wrong, but rather uninspiring.
