Bottle @ jack the sipper. Deep brown with a tight head. Chocolate donut, bear claw. Knackered red berry and grapes. Taste is very sweet. Oxidised and papery. So unabashedly sweet. Earthy leather covered in sugar. Cocoa. Medium body, oily. Nice. GT (10001) - San Diego, California, USA - NOV 4, 2013
375mL graciously shared at the SDBW kickoff bottleshare. Pours a full haze, muddy brown with very low carbonation appearing near flat. Ring of yellow bubbles. Nose is mild orange mint, toffee, vanilla, Grand Marnier style orange liquor. Taste is dusty, sticky, oxidized. Palate is cellar dusty, some sherry oxidation, brown sugar. Nice dessert sipper, but the flavors take some work to appreciate now so mellowed. Ibrew2or3 (8748) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - MAY 19, 2013
Woodshed 2.0. Huge thanks to stobbe74 for shipping me this over two years ago. Soeren!! The bottle pours out with a murky mahogany body supporting a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up yummy earthy musty cherries and brown sugar covered raisins with concentrated nectar like sweet cherry fruitiness at the end of the draw. The taste is rich and nectar like with fruity cherry notes as well as brown sugar coated prune goodness. These notes mix with smooth sweet rich cognac booziness. Wow! Love this too. Last bottle shared by Ibrew2or3 @ Woodshed 2.0! Oxidation again made this one a shadow of its former self. Fortunately, it used to be a world-class brew so its still pretty damn good! Vanilla, oak, toffee, and caramel. Only a slight hint of its cognac cocoon. sarro (134) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - JUN 23, 2012
Bottle shared 11-18-11 with friends! Pours a caramel tanned brown with little heading. Smell is sweet malt and strong alcohol & wood notes. Taste is dry figgy malt with a tiny bit of cognac character. Very nicely balanced with a fair amount of heat on the finish.

Cloudy dark brown beer. Light semi dry palate. Sweetish boozy malt and some dry wood and then some pretty sweet malt and brandy. Finishes with aniseed alcohol. A very nice beer but the weakest of the 3 Korknys.
Bottle from 2007. Pours hazy chestnut colored with no head at all. Aromas of dried fruit, vanilla, chocolate, caramel and roasted malt. Flavor is sweet and rich with notes of raisins, caramel, alcohol and wood. Great beer! beerisgoodforu (992) - Nørresundby, DENMARK - JAN 3, 2012
Bottle. Pours an opaque dark ruby red color, lots of floaties with no head. Aroma is of lots of oak, cognac notes, and an amplified character of the regular version, lots of dark fruits with raisins and figs, caramel, brown sugar, buttery notes and little alcohol. The flavor follows the nose, with cognac notes, oak, vanilla and lots of raisins and other dark fruits like figs and dates, with some caramel, brown sugar, buttery notes and alcohol. Body is medium to full with a lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Overall a great take on Little Korkny! chibuck (3513) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 23, 2011
bottle... medium shiny brown, thin tan head, no lace... the aroma is all smooth cognac, smells great, accented with brown sugar... the taste is equally outstanding, has me be debating my long standing belief that the bourbon is one of the best barley wines out there, brown sugar, molasses, malt, raisins and cognac, love drinking this... must try deyholla (11914) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 19, 2011
Big thanks to Kyle for sharing this. Pours a hazy ruby amber with a gray head that starts St the edges and dissipates completely. Aroma has a good amount of sweet grains with a bit of cognac and caramel underlying. Flavor starts with sweet grain that transitions to a nice cognac and caramel note.
