Entered to celebrate my rating number 14,500. Bottled. An unclear brown beer with a thin lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of malt, berries, caramel, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, alcohol, cognac, and berries, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. The body is thick. joergen (27984) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 20, 2009

Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours an opaque orangey brown with a small off-white head. Warming alcohol aroma with some wood and caramel. Solid body, low in carbonation, massive caramel and wood. Slight fustiness. Massive alcohol in the finish, no way this is only 12%. 220909 madmitch76 (24435) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 13, 2012

Cloudy dark brown beer. Light semi dry palate. Sweetish boozy malt and some dry wood and then some pretty sweet malt and brandy. Finishes with aniseed alcohol. A very nice beer but the weakest of the 3 Korknys.
UPDATED: APR 11, 2010 bottle thanks to jan... at fins ... nice deep red ... rich sweet vanilla ... little coconut ...dark berry nose ... rich vive fruiits ... cherrry and plums ... little toffee ... wee bit too much alcohol in linger... but lovely Leighton (21089) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 12, 2014
Bottle shared in London - huge thanks to Paul. Pours hazy brown with a bubbly, tan head. Great nose for an old B-wine, lots of toffee, aged fruits, light feet, old ship wood. Big sweet flavor with gooey coffee, some alcohol-soaked dried fruits, major raisins, dates and figs, some fruit cake. Full bodied with fine carbonation and chewy mouthfeel. Warm finish with lots of liquefied dark fruits, buckets of old dates and figs, toffee. Delicious. Rich. Decadent. Excellent. fiulijn (20427) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 22, 2009
Hazy brown color. Mature caramel aroma, with light Port shades, a bit alcoholic. Strong body, but too much alcoholic, burning; caramel flavor, light fruity touch, very burning finish. Chaotic.
