RATINGS: 172   WEIGHTED AVG: 3.32/5   SEASONAL: Spring   EST. CALORIES: 225   ABV: 7.5%
A powerful and full-bodied spring herald at 7.5% ABV. Brewed according to the original bock tradition, which used to be the point of origin for Danish easter brews. Bottom fermented, copper golden, with a discreet aroma of dark malts and hops. The flavor is round and sweet with notes of caramel and raisins. Average bitterness and aftertaste.

It has much foam by pouring, but it does not last long. The aroma is a little sparse and contain little fruit that taste reveals itself as a plum. Then follows a malty sweetness conclusion hops are lengthy. Certainly not a convincing bock.

Clear dark brown with light beige head. Malty aroma with rye notes. Sweetish, malty flavour. Caramel and rye. Sweet, sticky and light alcoholic finish. Ok.

Fra flaske. Mørk kobbber i farven og middelmådig på alle måder. I duft som smag. Maltet, ja, let humlet, ja. Sødlig, mildt frugtig. Det modsatte et et unikum.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy dark brown with small off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel with notes of dried fruit. Sweetish, maltyband caramellish flavour with notes of roasted nuts. Dry aftertaste. Good but rather strong for a Doppelbock.

A 40 cl bottle. The beer tasted wasn't a Påske Bock, but the problably newer: Forårs Bock. The first appearence is a dark brown, but clear beer with a tan-coloured head, 1 cm thick. A nice aroma slightly burnt and with caramel-notes meets the nose. It has a nice mouthfeel and a taste, that reminds of nuts ans the bitternes is significant. A beer that tales the heritage from the german bocks seriously. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Nørrebro Bryghus, pours a dark mahogany with a medium tan head. Aroma of earthy notes, toasted malt and nuts, as well as bready notes. Flavour is much the same, but not exactly pungent in any of the notes, with slightly fruity notes, toasted nuts, and some earthy notes. Lacks the body of many of the superior doppelbocks I’ve had. Acceptable beer, but not a very complex one.

On tap from brewpub. Read the other ratings for a description of its looks. Aroma is of malt and fruits. Has a sweet taste of toasted malt, caramel, nuts, fruits and spices. Medium body, average carbonation and a slightly bitter aftertaste. Quite good.

Mørk mild øl. Den er tør, smagen bliver på spidsen af tungen.... Det er en god rund og behagelig smag... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
