Draft - Black body with a very creamy beige head; Very fruity nose lots of it from the barrel ad tons of roast that is way better fitting the the non-barrel version; Very soft textured and carbonated body, bittersweet with a very warm alcohol bite; Long finish with tons of roasted burn, the port aromas are at first to apparent but melds fine together in late in the very long finish. Very fine beers, but I actually like the straight version better.

375ml bottle stored for quite a few years in my cellar. Bought at Nørrebro Brygghus, shared with Richard and Finn. Low, tan-coloured head. Deep black body with a rustic shade. Scattered lacing. Smell of dark bread, liquorice and oak. Berry fruits and dark malts with coffee and liquorice come together very well to the flavour profile. Port-like impression. Long-lived, warming finish. Full bodied. Velvety smooth on the swallow. Excellent slow sipper (Tromsø 08.10.2016). The_Osprey (7881) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 29, 2015
Bottle shared at Scopey’s 10K, many thanks to Leighton. Black with a small bubbly tan head. Aroma is dark chocolate, redcurrant, port and booze. Nice. Body is medium, tingly carbonation, smooth. Taste is dark chocolate, meaty, molasses, pretty dry into the finish. A bit more meaty and oxidised than the red wine version. But great nonetheless. teorn88 (7670) - Rimini, ITALY - NOV 26, 2015

Bottle. Dark brown pour with a kaki head. Chocolate, dark roasted malt, and cherry aromas. Sour notes? Dark bitter roasted malts. Barrel and cherry?? Average body and mouthfeel. JanLaursen (3227) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 2, 2014
Flaske, 375 ml, lagret i Gisles kælder siden 2009.
375 ml bottle sample from notes. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small khaki head. The aroma and flavor have a wonderful mix of roasted malts, chocolate, black coffee, dark fruits, blackberry, grapes, plums with a sweetness from the port barrel. A strong oak component comes through. This is a complex imperial stout where the barrel has added to an already solid beer.
