Sampler at CBF 2011-06-28. Pitch black with a creamy, brown film. Dark dried fruits, roasted, coffee nose. Liquorice, dark fruits, roasted tones on sweet, bitter and light acidic flavors. Full body. Oily, smooth and warming with roasted notes lingering in the end. larsga (7540) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 18, 2011
Head is just a thin brown ring. Opaque black body. Deep velvety chocolatey malty aroma with earthy sugary cocoa notes. Dry-sweet resiny burnt chocolate taste with earthy caramelly notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, somewhat hot mouthfeel. Dry burnt coffee aftertaste with black chocolate and pepper notes. Nice, but the aroma is far more harmonic than the taste. (0.1l draft at DBF’11.) 27-MAY-2011, draft @Copenhagen BeerFestival. Rating #1000.
Black with brown head.
Very roasted and very sweet. Nose perhaps a tad subdued, but taste is full throttle.
But what is really most amazing is the smoothness and fullness. So creamy and with quite low carbonation.
Roasted coffee, chocolate, some hoppy bitterness. But mostly it all just coexists and gives one of the best brews I have had.
Worth a #1000 rating:) flemmingwillum (1206) - Nysted, DENMARK - MAY 29, 2011

Completely opaque black-brown with a very nice head and lacings.
Very heavy aroma of smoke, chocolate and liquorice. Flavor is heavy with tar, liquorice, smoke and chocolate. Close to the ultimative stout taste. Thick, soft, round.
