Draft. An unclear red-brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has strong notes of cherries as well as light notes of wood and more, as well as an acidic note. The flavor is sour with notes of cherries and wood, the acidity draws out the mouthwater - nice. The finish is tart.

Enjoyit (3809) - Vadum, DENMARK - SEP 28, 2009
Unclear amber of color with out a head. An aroma of cherry, sour notes, weak sweets and spice. A flavor of spice, cherry, fruits and sour notes.

henrikb (1263) - Aarhus, DENMARK - JAN 15, 2009
Redbrown body, big bubbled beige head; Very cherried nose with lots of warmer spicy elements behind, cinnamon etc; Simple thin sharp acid body; Lots of cherry aroma in quite long finish, very acetic and quite out of balance with to much sweetness.

Ethereal (2421) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 7, 2008
Draught at EBF 2008, Copenhagen. Chestnut red colour with a huge aroma of cola, fruitcake, cloves and sour cherries. Flavour has the same components and there is a good weight to the beer. Lovely - one of the best sours I have tasted.

fonefan (49427) - VestJylland, DENMARK - DEC 4, 2008
Draught at Nørrebro Bryghus on 5th Birthday Party, Ryesgade 3, 2200 Copenhagen, Denmark. Clear medium red brown color with virtually none head. Aroma is stones of cherry, sour cherry. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet, moderate acidic and moderate to light heavy bitter with a long duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft - flat. 110908

On tap at the brewpubs 5 year anniversary. Hazy brown body with a minimal off-white head. Just the size you expect from an English bitter from cask. Cherries, some lemon, and a touch of wood, vinegar and cinnamon in the aroma. Citrus, some almond and a touch of cinnamon in the mouth, quite sourish and astringent and certainly not sweet. Citrusy finish with some cherries. Even though I find it easy to drink, it’s challenging as well. Lovely. (080911)

On tap @ the brewpub. Hazy, dark reddish body with a thin pink head. Aroma is strong cherry with a hint of almond. Flavor is bittersour cherry with no hops. Quite acidity with just a hint of marzipan. This is nice, and more similar to a real kriek than many of the more commercial versions.

Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 16, 2008
UPDATED: APR 11, 2009 (On tap) Slightly hazt dark orangey brown. Fat aroma of cherries and almonds. Surprisingly light body with a distinct sourness and again distinct notes of sour cherries. No bitterness - just acidity. Excellent Sour. 140908

bager (2120) - Copenhagen N, DENMARK - OCT 3, 2008
On tap @ the brewpub. Hazy and reddish brown in colour with a small head. Oh dear god this is wonderfull. Super well balanced. Oak, berries, great sourness level, citrus, marzipan, vinegar and spices. WOW!

Rune (12814) - Tromsø, NORWAY - OCT 1, 2008
Draught at the brewery’s birthday party. Clear dark-amber body with nice lacing on the glass. Light spicy aroma complemented by sour fruits. Rounded taste of fruit acidity, accentuated by bitter berries. Smooth in mouth. In danger of getting one-dimensional (Copenhagen, 11.09.2008).
