From tap at the brewpub. Pours deep brown/amber with a lacing off-white head. Sweet caramel aroma with a light fruity note. Served way too cold and slightly over-carbonated. Flavour starts soft sweet with a nice caramel flavour underneath a solid fruity hoppy flavour. Has a mild roasted chocolate and toffee like note towards the finish. Ends with a mild sweetness and a vague bitterness. thewolf (12590) - Kolding, DENMARK - NOV 15, 2007
Tap @ the brewpub. Pours a deep mahogany with a great creamy off white head. Aroma is lightly roasted, loads of liqourice and a little bit of herbs. Lively mouthfeel. Flavour is very sweet and has quite a lot of liqourice again. But it is still pleasant. A little burned malts at the finish. Nice brew, but you have to like liqourice! Draught @ Nørrebro bryghus. [Courtesy of thewolf, thanks buddy!] Two finger beige head that mostly lasted. Very dark mahogany for a brown ale I guess. Fair display of lacework. Aroma was liquorish, caramel, dried fruit. Over the palate notes of burned malt, liquorish, hint of coffee at the very end. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Balanced bitter and sweet flavor. Burned malt and liquorish finish. Quit nice.
