3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This is unlike any tripel that I’ve ever tried, and better than most. Pours golden orange with a very small head. Funky, fruity aromas. Lots of wine notes and some sweet/sour fruitiness in the mouth. Zingy acidity. Lots of Sauternes character. Surprisingly tasty beer from Norrebro.
Bottle @ Home. Pours slightly hazy reddish golden with an fast fading offwhite head. Aroma of malt, belgian yeast, light sourness, wood, oak, vanilla, sweet white wine grapes, a bit of honey, alcohol. Flavor is light sourness, light malt, yeast, some brett, tart oak, wet wood, light vanilla, white grapes, alcohol. Medium body, soft carbonation, light acidic finish. 050316 Ratman197 (14973) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - OCT 3, 2015

Flavors of straw, oak, white wine, vanilla and light fruitiness with a smooth dry lingering white wine finish. zymosis (18) - NORWAY - NOV 13, 2014
A no fizzy beer; smells amazing like a barrel; very light and fruity at the start; then the acidity kicks in with the spices and finally you feel the 9 percent.... Lovely and happy i have tried this Bamsen78 (5452) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - AUG 23, 2014
Bottle. Pours murky amber with small off-white. Dusty and slightly vinous aroma, with notes of malt, hops and flowers. Vinous onset, giving way to notes of malt and caramel, touches of hops and pronounced notes of barrel. Slightly rough aftertaste with vinous notes. A good beer but it tastes more like a Sour Brown than a Tripel. martin00sr (4295) - Haderslev, DENMARK - AUG 23, 2014
Murky, orange brown. Tiny, airy, white head. Vinous, acetic aroma, sour berries. Flavour is fruity with bretty sourness, dried fruit and evident alcohol. Fruity, sweet and tart finish.

Backlog. Tried at the Copenhagen Beer Festival. Just as good as it’s little brother but with the added sweetness of a Sauternes. brnandersen (3992) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 28, 2014
33 cl. bottle, bottled in January 2010, poured in to a Trappist glass. Lovely deep orange with golden hues, only a vague, white bubbly head that quickly fades away. Fruity and yeasty aroma with vanilla, oak, lots of oak actually, bretts, rather vinous, lactic and spicy notes. Very complex. Initial sweet taste as Tripels usually have, due to the barrel aging and the complex bacteria composition the taste turns lightly sour. Medium body, slick texture and a flat carbonation. Long lasting, drying finish with lots of barrel, vanilla, yeasts and vinous notes. A demanding and extremely complex beer. Not by any means easy drinkable but rewarding for the patient connaisseur. "Nørrebro, Danmarks motsvarighet till Nils Oscar" /citat från provpanelen.
Ganska tydlig sötma och det speciella fatet har definitivt bidragit med något unikt jag bara känt i Mikkellers sautern-bira tidigare. Ganska intensiva smaker och lite koncentrerad med ganska tunn kropp. Viss syrlighet trots sötman. llkc (2502) - århus, DENMARK - JAN 5, 2014

Pours dark frizzy amber with low to now off white head
Aromas of cherries, oaky, butterscotch, wild berries, saison yeast
Nice round, sweet taste. Oaky, almost tobacco like, wild berries and hints of sourness from the saison yeast
Lively frizziness. Very enjoyable!
