English: a sour Belgian style brown ale. The base beer was a Belgian Brune, brewed in September 2008 by the Master Brewer Class of 2008/09 at the Scandinavian School of Brewing. The finished beer was then allowed to age for 10 months in a Spanish Tempranillo barrel with multiple strains of Brettanomyces and Lactobacillus, resulting in a pleasantly sour, extremely complex, smooth beer with significant oaky, winey and barnyard flavours. Malt and caramel notes on the palate and a clean, crisp and fruity finish.

375ml bottle - thanks for sending this my way Sean! Poured a deeper and hazy amberish color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of some wood, cherries, grapes, vinous, and some funkiness. Tastes of cherries, vinous, wood, and a lighter funkiness.

Thanks to hopdog for sharing this one. Pours a hazy reddish amber with a smaller bubbly head. Aroma was this great tart cherry, sweet, light funk and other berries. Great cherry notes. Flavor of fresh yet some ripes cherries, vanilla, light funk and wheat. Josh swore this was a grape bomb but he was totally wrong.

Hazy red brown color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of red wine, brett, some vinegar, grapes, vanilla, and wood. Taste of cherries, wine, wood, vanilla sweetness, and a tart finish.

Bottle. Frothy off-white good mostly deminishing head. Red-amber colour. Light malty and light hoppy aroma. Not that sour but very fresh. Light bitter not very pleasent flavor. Plumb notes. Average finish. Oily palate. Not my favorite.

Hansen (8595) - Assentoft, DENMARK - FEB 19, 2010
Has a real good aroma, fruity acidic, malty, bread, faint almond notes too. Flavor starts good, sweet, but then it gets unpleasent, to much contrast to the sweetness, heavy acidic, moderate bitterness.

saxo (18300) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - FEB 19, 2010
Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are sour malt, lactose acid, caramel, nuts and citrus.

Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - JAN 31, 2010
It’s hazy, almost unclear red mahogany and the head is huge and creamy. The aroma is fruity and sour with notes of berries, wood, caramel, brett and citrus peel. The flavour is fruity and sourish with a light sweetness and notes of brett, lots of citrus peel, caramel, it’s vinous, and the finish is slightly dry and refreshingly fruity. It’s a really nice sour.

ante (3373) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JAN 24, 2010
Bottled. Pours out in a warm deep hazy amber colour with a low thick white head. Dryish crisp aroma of brett, lemon, dryish white wine, red currant, black cherries and mild caramel. Medium-bodied with acidic notes of roasted malts, balsamic vinegar, white pepper, immature raspberries, wood, salty licorice and mild caramel. Long dryish finish of brett, lemon-rind, white pepper and wood.
