750ml bottle shared courtesy of Jasonmech77. Poured a medium and cloudy amberish brown color with small sized off white head. Aromas of yeast, lightly fruity, leather, wood and musty. Tastes of yeast, sour cherries, funky and toasted malts. Had a light tart and sour finish. Different and interesting (I kinda of liked it). egajdzis (6580) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 5, 2007
Poured a hazy brown color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of leather, oak, red cherries, toffee, pedio, with some toastiness as well. Taste of the same, cherry, some cedar, light sourness, some vinegar, and a bit more pediococcus. Dry finish. TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - JAN 4, 2007
Jasonmech77 for sharing this 750. Pours a hazy golden amber with a small bubbly off white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, funky, horse blanket, some citrus, sweet malts, various Belgian spices, sweet tarts and barnyard. Flavor was very yeasty, some funkiness, a good bit of carbonoation for how small the head was. Also picking up citrus, tart apple and muddled spices. Dusty deep gold. Nose light sour with lemon. Flavor musy, salty, like, uh, drinking liquified fish. footbalm (1219) - Western Minneapolis Suburbs, Minnesota, USA - SEP 28, 2006
This recieved some very strange reviews that day we opened it. Some said fish and some said drain pour. I really was confusedby this as I could get some spice notes but boy was this a mess.

Cloudy light brown color, white head, sour appleish aroma. The flavor was of saddle blanket some spice and malt but nothing really here that might impress a person.Over all nothing more then middle of the road. JK (6146) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - SEP 24, 2006
Sort of a fusion of styles, Belgian ale and saison and wit. The aroma has yeast and some barnyard, but it is very light. Flavor is salty, lots of medium sweet malt, and more yeast with light spices as well, especially coriander. A cloudy brown beer with lots of sediment. It isn’t spectacular but overall it works. Others at the tasting got a bad fish aroma but I didn’t pick up any of that. Nuffield (4171) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - AUG 29, 2006
Bottle. Sourness, citric, underlying mineral water essence. Thinnish, some carbonation but neither frothy or tingly. Hazy peach/brown color. Not quite all that. Lumpy (1802) - Carrollton, Texas, USA - JUL 7, 2006
Bottle. The most dusty smelling beer I have ever smelt. Smells like a 100 year old book. Taste-cherry cough syrup, metal, dust. Dust, must, and “oldness” dominate. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JUN 26, 2006
(750ml bottle, courtesy of Walt) Pours a lightly cloudy reddish-brown body with an average beige head. Aroma of apple, cherry, cola, and vinegar. Flavor of toasted malt, tobacco, bit charred, some sourness, and black pepper. Plenty of carbonation.
