A sort of plum colored beer white a bubbly off white head. The nose is dark sugar and rhubarb. The taste is burnt suagar masking maple and sweet cereal grain. Its thick and relatively mild on the palate. Not my favorite. As for the barrel aging, I guess it just served to make this one even sweeter. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - MAY 12, 2011

Sampled at the Great American Beer Festival on September 17, 2010. Honey-colored, semi-translucent beer with an off-white head. Aroma of honey and spice with light alcohol. Palate is very cool and smooth. Flavor is more of the same characteristics as in the aroma. Really not very strong on the tongue at all, although when it hits your stomach you get a light alcohol burn.
