Palest orange ever. Only the slightest hint of hops. Mostly some woody elements. scraff (2121) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUL 15, 2006
Draft - Orange, creamy white head. Floral, citrus, and pine nose throughout. Hopped up flavors that receive a nice helping of caramel sweetness for balance. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry, semi-bitter finish. Decent... Andrew196 (1921) - Katy, Texas, USA - APR 11, 2002
I like this beer a lot actually. The hops were very flavorful and powerful but not overly bitter like many pale ales. Somewhat complex for a pale ale, sweet malt came out before the great finish. Lumpy (1802) - Carrollton, Texas, USA - DEC 16, 2005
Tap. Well, I most of had the new recipe, because this beer was magnificent. Nice honey body with a lasting 1/2 inch head. Nose-good fresh clean hops. A great classic APA clean hoppy nose. Taste-my first impression is that this is a bit thin, but good. What it has, it does well with, if you know what I mean. The hops are in the background and upfront at the same time while the malt is balanced just right with the hops. The only NXNW beer that I ordered twice.. dresden (1581) - Saskatchewan, CANADA - NOV 2, 2012
Orangeygoldenclear beer. Some citrus and pine aroma, lightly citrus and mild simcoe taste. Pretty decent apa all in all.

(Sample from February 23, 2007 Beer Club Meeting; on tap at NXNW in Austin on July 20, 2008) Semi-cloudy pale gold. Hard to target in on the aroma. Taste is just bitter/pale enough to raise the eyebrow but leaves no aftertaste. Thin, sweet… delicious. fly (1486) - austin, Tejas, Texas, USA - OCT 9, 2003
Wonder as ever w/ brewpubs how this compares to the last batch. Enjoyed. Plenty hoppy, a bit grainy and the hops seem ?? Well, I'm glad they're there - just wondering what kind was used? While not my favorite pale ale, I don't see there being any lack of bittering. I just want to have another to see if I can tell more what is in there. mmmbeer (1426) - Austin, Texas, USA - JAN 20, 2008
Sampler at NXNW- very small off white head, cloudy hazen amber appearance, aroma of hops and, for some reason, light evergreen trees. Hits the mouth with a medium body, the malt is in near perfect balance with the hops, finish is good and strong. My favorite of the evening. angrypirate06 (1388) - Texas, USA - OCT 16, 2009
Growler. Pours with a rocky off white head over a clear gold body. Aroma is grass, hops, pine, pretzels and a slight fruitiness. Flavor is slightly astringent, biscuit, pretzels, and a bit of hoppiness on the back end. Nice bubbly mouthfeel.
