COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed in the style of the great ales of the Pacific Northwest, this complex combination of Pilsner and Caravienne malts and Apollo, Simcoe, Cascade and Amarillo hops make it a great session beer.

AceOfHearts (1374) - Mountain View, California, USA - JUL 6, 2002
Slight woodiness and hoppiness in the flavor and finish. Perhaps served a few degrees too warm, and it seemed like it was off-balance, the maltiness was perhaps a bit too prominent. They really shouls hop this one more.

Draught. Aromas of light pine, peach, and light caramel. Clear amber-brown with a small head. Good bitterness but severely lacking in hop flavor or any malt background. Harsh and unbalanced. A boring pale ale.

Decent aroma with a light flavor. One of the better cabonations in the North by Northwast beers. I would have again!

draft at nxnw. This is a good pale ale. It pours orange with yellow tinged froth and is heavy on citrus, although there is a solid malt backbone of biscuit and toast. There are actually some ginger-like notes on the finish, nice. Medium bodied, smooth, and drinkable.

In cask at NXNW. Nice citrus and flower nose with some sweet malt in the nose. Big citrus fruity flavor. Nice round and balanced flavor. Very drinkable. This is Ty’s IPA. He got rid of the old PyJino Pale and made this his own. Great job Ty!

RateandPillage (426) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JAN 21, 2005
Golden amber to light copper pour. Decent hop aroma and flavor, but could have used more. Pretty smooth. I agree with some of the others that this is about as good as it gets at this brewpub.
