750ml corked and caged. Opened with a very faint sound of carbonation. Murky dark caramel brown that pours still, but will show a faint head with some swirling of the glass. Tons of oxidation going on here. Sweet tobacco leaf, slight port, some hints of cardboard, a bit of caramel, fig newton, wet leafs with a bit of booziness down low. A bit watery with really no carbonation, tons of tobacco, a bit of leather, wet cardboard, vanilla bean, some pepper and booze on the end. No idea what this beer was like fresh, but is deffinetly totally different I am sure. Completely oxidized and basically flat but I did enjoy it and happy to have been able to try it. Thanks Tom. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - DEC 18, 2009
750, corked and baled. thanks, sprinkle! opens with the tiniest puff of sound, probably just the grind of cork on glass but there just might be some carb in there too. pours a dark murky ebony with caramel edges. no head or lacing. big cola, nuts, molasses, and mild spice on the nose. some tobacco and port as well. creamy medium body with not much carb at all. figs, tobacco, leaves, port, caramel, and a hint of cola on the mid palate. mild earthy toffee finish. sliffy (2040) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - DEC 4, 2009

All in all this beer was pretty good. tokyogoat (1503) - San Diego, California, USA - JUN 30, 2009
Nose suffered slightly from oxidation, sweet brown sugar, raisins, alcohol.
Rough pour produced a small tan head to compliment a nice medium brown beer.
Taste was slightly watery on the palate, but there was some delicate hops flavors left, some slightly sweet caramel notes, and a well accompanied bourbon flavor. Snojerk321 (2984) - San Diego, California, USA - JUN 21, 2009
750ml bottle from a trade a while back. This beer hops up surprisingly well for its age. Pours a deep plum red color with a small beige ring. Light oxidation on the nose with some plum, brown sugar and light booze. Brew was fairly light in body which took a little away from the mouth feel, but over all , this brew was pretty kick ass.

750 ml corked and caged green bottle poured a clear brown with garnet highlights and a small diminishing amber head. Aromas of oak, plum, carmel, toffee, sherry, dates, pepper and vanilla. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, toffee, sherry, plum, light oak, light vanilla and light smoke with a smooth lingering fruity, woody finish. This beer has held up amazingly well for it’s age and only 7% ABV! Ty5592 (1024) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 12, 2008
Bark amber color with no head and stuff floating around. Aroma of plums and grapes. Sweet and malty with plum flavors throughout. Light alcohol in the finish. alobar (3915) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 6, 2008

Bottle. Sampled at YEHA. What a treat to try this. Poured a clopudy brown body with thin head. Aroma - I was unsure of what was present but coffee was noticable. Taste is chocolate, bitter, rich malt. Body is thin and smooth.
