750 ml corked and caged green bottle poured a clear brown with garnet highlights and a small diminishing amber head. Aromas of oak, plum, carmel, toffee, sherry, dates, pepper and vanilla. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, toffee, sherry, plum, light oak, light vanilla and light smoke with a smooth lingering fruity, woody finish. (750ml bottle) Creamy beige head atop an opaque brown body with sediment. Aroma is moderately sweet, caramel/toffee/butterscotch, oak, vinous. Taste is medium sweet, toffee, some caramel, light butterscotch. Finishes with nice oak. Medium body, somewhat watery. Delicious beer that has aged remarkably well -- whatever hops qualities that once existed are long gone, but no complaints whatsoever. 750ml bottle. Thanks to dickinsonbeer for inflating the auction price on this for me (and in the end, he gets to try it for free!). Poured a deeper orangish / brownish color with a small sized off white head. Some big floaters. Aromas of caramel, dark fruits, wood, smoke, and chocolate. Tastes of caramel, chocolate, wood, and dark fruits. Some oxidation is setting in, but still holding up OK.

Bottle @ JetsonFest III, courtesy of foppa78. Mat is a fine gentleman. Pours a deep reddish brown appearance with a little khaki head. Caramel, plum, slightly oxidized, grape aroma. Carbonation is pretty good. Sweet caramel/chocolate candy, fig, leather, a bit dark fruity, pretty tasty flavor. At 12 years old, this has held up pretty well. Thanks again, Mat! 750mL courtesy of ygtbsm94. Pours a muddy brown with no real head but more like cask bubbles clinging to the sides of the snifter. Aroma is cherry, caramel, rich old ale notes like toffee, dates, oxidized dark fruits. Overall the nose is a bit oxidized but no red apples showing through- just signs of good aging. Taste is buttery chocolate, cocoa butter, slight diacetyl cut by charred ashiness and tobacco that creates a strange balance. Bottle. Tofee colored beer with little head. Oxidized and past its prime, but aroma of caramel and light sherry. Toffee flavor with some dried fruit and sherry notes. Medium-light body. Oxidized notes linger with some caramel/toffee and a litle earthiness.
