Brown Black light highlights with cream brown top. Nice chaotic top during the pour like Old Rasputin. Smells of smokey choco, nuts and vanilla. Tastes of light smoke, caramel and choco with a pinch of bitter conclusion. A simple yet impressive stout. Suttree (6415) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 3, 2009
There is a lot of sweet flavors in this, much more than I expected in a dry stout. Some coffee and dark chocolate, of course, but also some fruity and winey notes. It does finsh dry, however. I liked it. can8ianben (1556) - State College, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 18, 2009
Rich roasty aroma of burnt coffee and dark malt. Appearance is black with a thick big-bubbled brown/tan head. Flavor is roasty and dry. On the palate it is sweet, very little bitterness, subtly smoky with a smooth finish. KimJohansen (10509) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - DEC 24, 2008

12 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a reddish hue and a diminished tan. Roasted chocolate malty aroma. Light spiced. Light breadish and chocolate malty with a light acidic note. Ends smooth chocolate flavoured and light roasted breadish. Smooth. Ungstrup (37867) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - OCT 21, 2008
Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of roasted malt as lighter notes of soy sauce, leding to a dry roasted finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing. Bottle. [Tasting @ Papsoe 20-10-2008] Large creamy beige head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Dark mahogany color. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, mild dry and wood like notes. Over the palate came liquorish. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and light dry texture. Moderated sweet flavor with light counter bitterness. Sweet roasted chocolate finish Homerlikebeer (36) - Petaluma, California, USA - AUG 1, 2008
