COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Malted wheat and the choicest American barley are combined with a blend of noble hops to create this light, fruity, refreshing beer. Brewed in the style of the American beer renaissance, Blue Star is unfiltered, the yeast adding a complex note to the flavor profile. It’s especially good with a slice of lemon!

Part of a six pack sent to me for my birthdat. This really should be called "Blue Star Light". Its very weak in flavor with your traditional banana and spice notes. Refreshing nonetheless.

I admit, it suckered me in. That sassy little blue star on the label had me thinking of the great and glorious Dallas Cowboys......oh wait, this is 2018, not 1993! And the "taint" of Jerry Jones is strong indeed. From a feared franchise to this abysmal mess. It's true. When you want the CHAMP stick with Blatz. That shit is World Champion FOREVER. This "beer" was probably brewed by Jerry Jones, and strained through Charles Haley's mouldering jockstrap. Never again.

4.5%ABV. Wheat ale. Poured out gold. 6ºSRM. Nose is fruity with mango and papaya in the nose. Mouthfeel is beery. Palate has wheat malt and pale malt flavors with wheat flour, sweet dough and with a clean fresh biscuit aroma. There is a clean sweet slightly herbal flavor at the end that suggests grass jelly. Hops are grassy and herbal. Finish is clean.

Very tasty honeysuckly wheat beer. Different than typical hefeweizens. Appearance is pale yellow semicloudy, lightly carbonated and small head, 3cm in weizen glass poured from a bottle. Smell is honeydew and bread. Taste is mainly cantaloupe and flowery, citrus, wheat, honey, honeysuckle, hint of charcoal or wood.

Semi- cloudy gold color with a big lively head of fluffy white foam. Dry corn husk and honey wheat bread up front with reserved florals and maybe a touch of stone fruit or apricot in the middle. Dry grainy finish. Very quenching and palatable.

Bottle at the Corner Pit Taipei. I expected a lot. It fell short. It hasn’t got as many wheaty characteristics as one would expect and it really doesn’t stand out. It was refreshing and light tho. Maybe I have rated this lower than it should be given I paid 250nt. Overall, not bad, but just not fantastic.

From old tasting notes. Cloudy honey gold color.foamy white head. Fragrant floral malt aroma. Dryish wheat malt flavor is soft and silky, but lacks complexity. Brief dry finish.

Cloudy gold pour with a thick white head and good retention. Minimal lacing. Solid, clean and smooth wheat ale. Light lemon notes. Refreshing. No bitterness or hefe flavors.

Tap. One of those classics that I just never rated. Pours cloudy golden, medium white head, nice lacing. Aroma is light, wheat, floral notes, grain, lemon zest. Light plus sweet, minimal bitterness. Medium body, a bit of acidity. Lacks the banana and clove of a German hef, but not bad in its own right.

A decent but not overly memorable beer. Smooth wheat beer without much bitterness.

The aroma is a nice hearty wheat. Love it. The brew is a crisp gold. The taste is just like the aroma, wheat, but a bit lighter than expected. Very nice flavor. The palate slapped with a strong carbonation that takes a good while to fade, but the aftertaste of the wheat is mild. I usually don’t go out of my way to purchase wheat beers, but if I found this at a party, I’d be a very happy guest.
