Malted wheat and the choicest American barley are combined with a blend of noble hops to create this light, fruity, refreshing beer. Brewed in the style of the American beer renaissance, Blue Star is unfiltered, the yeast adding a complex note to the flavor profile. Its especially good with a slice of lemon!

Very pale with medium haze. Light citrus aromas, no hops. Flavor is similar, no hops. Crisp with medium carbonation. Not a flavor bomb but still very refreshing and approachable.

Tap. One of those classics that I just never rated. Pours cloudy golden, medium white head, nice lacing. Aroma is light, wheat, floral notes, grain, lemon zest. Light plus sweet, minimal bitterness. Medium body, a bit of acidity. Lacks the banana and clove of a German hef, but not bad in its own right.

A decent but not overly memorable beer. Smooth wheat beer without much bitterness.

The aroma is a nice hearty wheat. Love it. The brew is a crisp gold. The taste is just like the aroma, wheat, but a bit lighter than expected. Very nice flavor. The palate slapped with a strong carbonation that takes a good while to fade, but the aftertaste of the wheat is mild. I usually dont go out of my way to purchase wheat beers, but if I found this at a party, Id be a very happy guest.

Fairly light, mild aroma. Flavorso slightly reminiscent of Bavarian wheat beer. One of the best American wheat brews.

Bottle from Chevy Chase Wine and Liquor. Hazy amber body with huge head. Nose is hops, spices and wheat. Taste is hops, yeasty with lemon notes. Fruity in the finish. Decent.

Bottle at The Happy Monk. Hazy golden but pouring with so much foam like 4 inches. Very annoying. Lots of bubbles. That hed fizzles away soon enough. The aroma is very bright like sweet wheat. Flavor is sweet and fruity. Airy body. Strange to place. Like other north coast beers, mwaaa.

Bottle, 355ml A cloudy amber beer with no head. Aroma is of citrics (like lemonade) and wheat. Taste is bitter with an aftertaste of wheat. Medium bodied with flat carbonation. Weird finish that kind of reminds me of chlorine.

Bottle, 355ml. Hazy golden with a head thats completely gone in seconds. Citrus and wheaty aromas. Medium to light bodied with fizzy carbonation. Lightly sweet with a heavy acidity and no bitterness into a yeast and fruity finish. Disappointing from North Coast.

This beer was decent. Its like and didnt really stand out in any particular way. Just a general wheat ale.

Panzerfaust (838) - Hanga Roa, Easter Island, CHILE - MAR 19, 2016
355ml bottle from Club de Cervezas. Pours a hazy and pale yellow color with a big white head that diminishes quickly but laces well. Aroma is laid back, flowery, with lots of wheat and grainy malts and tiny hints of fruit and spice. Notes of hay, grain, bread, dried fruit and some soft citrus. Decent. Taste is neutral, bready with some small amount of spice and a fresh but indiscernible touch from the hops. Nothign extraordinary but well drinkable. Light bodied, medium carbonation. Quaffable. It has its space and time on a hot day, but its unlikely to satisfy if you look for complex aromas and explosion of flavors.
